TELL MR. POTENTIAL TO "MAN UP" OR "STEP OFF!" (from an Online Deliverance Ministry)

Mr. Potential looks good but the devil sent him to drain YOU!It seems that I had more sense when I was in my early 20’s —an  unsaved worldly young woman, than I did when I was saved and in my early 30’s.  Some might have called me “a 20 year old  un-virtuous woman” because  I demanded  back then that no man  could sleep with me unless he paid  me. Certainly a sinful, worldly perspective,  STILL—no man  took me down.   Nor would I spend a dime on a man, not even a birthday card.  Men made it plain to me that all they wanted from me was my body.  So I said to myself, “if THAT is how it is, then to have this body, Mr. Man, you have to pay to play. I will NOT let you break my heart and so my heart is cold toward you.” Whenever I hear my man  Maxwell sing,“How Can  You Be So Cold, Good God the Gurl’s Gone Cold.  You just can’t leave this. You can’t quit this. The gurl means business, I shake my head in remembrance of that girl who died when Jesus came a callin! lol

 WOW!  I got glorious saved on March 29, 1977. I was 33 years old.    I walked in the power of love, forgiveness, understanding for all people.  My cynicism was replaced with an “I’m going to save the world” mentality and I’m going to keep myself chaste and become someone’s virtuous wife and I reach down to pull up the weak and needy.  Yet, without proper understanding, I allowed myself to become more than one man’s  doormat. So when the enemy sent losers into my life, I welcomed them ALL.

Here is a bit of wisdom from a senior citizen who has been there and  done that.  The worst thing you can do is to fall for a man who has “potential.”

You make more money than he does.  You are more educated than he is. You have a job but he is “finding himself” because society has so emasculated him.  You pay your bills, have your own place to live, and you are paying to drive your own car.  You may even be a single mom who is taking responsible care of your children by yourself.

 Look out, Gurl!  If he hasn’t already, Satan plans to  send  Mr. Potential to  try to discover if you are a potential sucker. Mr. Potential is the kind of guy that will start out draining you slowly.  The next thing you know, you are loaning him your car so that he can find a job.  Then you find some earrings in the glove compartment that are not YOURS!  You have already been suckered.

If you are still playing the dating game, here is a rule of thumb.  Never date a man who is merely “upwardly mobile” but needs a helping hand to arrive at your social standing and way of life. No, Baby Gurl!   He has got to have exactly what YOU have, better yet—he should have a better ride, a better crib, and more money in the bank than you have.  Why?  Because built into a man is a competitive spirit.  While he may use YOUR goods and services, deep down, he will harbor envy and jealousy over the fact that you have more to offer than he does and he will be hell bent to one day, get even, and drag your nose through the mud because your success irritated him.

So you need a man who is slightly superior to YOU! Otherwise, Mr. Potential will drag you to the poor house and the soup kitchen.

Take it from someone who married not one but three  Mr. Potentials  each  of whom turned out to be losers. Two of them are now dead and one of them pretends to be dead because he knows that to mess with me in this hour  is to bring the wrath of God upon himself. The fear of the Lord is upon my third and last husband. That is a good thing. Richard  learned a thing or two trying to bring me down during the 9 years I was married to HIM! Sister, if you are married to a loser, then you will find yourself risking  what God blessed you to accumulate for yourself.

Here is a memorable example for you to consider.

 I went into prison and married my second husband, Billy.  We were married for 8 years.  I spent about 8000 a year as a prison wife, travelling hundreds of miles on dangerous roads every week, for 7 of those years.  Buying him everything from sneakers to food to expensive typewriters.  Add it up.  That would be about $64,000 spent on a man who put a witchcraft spell upon me in an attempt to kill me by causing me to have a car accident!!!!   (that’s yet another post! lol)

 I even  risked my job marrying  Billy because I worked in the field of corrections and my peers felt that I disrespected them by marrying a convict.  So beside the pressures of being a prison wife, I had to constantly look over my shoulder to see which of my peers was trying to frame me to lose a job I ended up keeping  for 17 years, until I walked out myself in 1997.  While my second ex  was incarcerated, I paid $1500 a correspondence course  for Billy  to become a paralegal.  Mr. Potential  was an A student.  So  Billy contested the divorce and tried to take half of my resources–my house, my car and my pension that I live quite well off of right now. The judge asked him, “How much did you contribute to your wife’s resources.”  He responded “Nothing.”  The judge answered:  “And NOTHING is what you shall receive!.”

You may not be so lucky. It was very obvious to the judge that a man who is incarcerated the entire marriage has not even bought salt for the shaker.   So if you marry “Mr. Potential,” and he co-habitates with you for a while, you may one day find yourself paying HIM alimony.

 Let a word to the wise be sufficient.

Our ministers provide a kind of commitment to you that you will find nowhere in the organized church.

Is It Preaching? Or Sermonizing? (An Online Deliverance Ministry)

The Foolishness oPreaching...

I couldn’t agree with Pam more…

Approximately over a year ago, I wrote the following blog on preaching.

This is a question each preacher needs to ask themselves:

Am I PREACHING or Am I SERMONIZING???????

My updated corrections are in parenthesis:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Corinthians 1:18-21
 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
 Preaching…
 We as ministers of the gospel know all about it.  Even those we label as laity know about preaching.  We know all types of preaching.  We know the hoop. The holler.  The in between, asthma-like huffs and puffs in between phrases or sentences.  We get excited over it.  We dance over it.  We shout and rejoice.  The desired result of preaching, according to the Word of the Lord, is to save souls.  I could be wrong, but I don’t see anywhere in scripture that tells us to preach to saved folks, but to instruct, to edify, or grow the saints up in the things of God.
 If we want to encourage the saints, the Word tells us to speak to each other ‘in spiritual songs and psalms:
 Ephesians 5:19
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord...
If we want to edify one another, grow the saints up, the Word tells us to teach and admonish one another-again with ‘psalms, hymns, & spiritual songs…’
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
 The Word does not say to preach to saved folks.  Preach to unsaved folks; teach, admonish, speak to, rebuke, reprove the saints!
 Ministers, fellow laborers…
Just think about it.  This may be why the souls are not growing.  You’ve been preaching to them for 20 years.  Preaching (sermonizing, using Pam’s term) them happy.  Preaching (sermonizing) them sad.  Preaching (sermonizing) them prosperity.  Preaching (sermonizing) them strange doctrines.  Preaching (sermonizing) everything…why are you preaching salvation to saved folks?
I was listening to this very popular woman preacher (heck, I will post her name:  it was Cindy Trimm).  She was preaching, but it was in a religious setting.  So I hit play.  I will admit:  I was somewhat annoyed at her preaching in cadence and all…
“And the Lord say…HA!
“Repent for the Kingdom of God…HA!
“..is at hand….HA!”
 As she continued, on her rant for about 40 minutes, I grew very aggravated.  Not because what she was saying wasn’t true, but because of the preaching in cadence, and the organist playing behind her.  But I hung in there..I hung in there until, while preaching in cadence, she bust out…
“…that’s not my key!…”
‘No she didn’t!  No she didn’t preach to the organist to take the key up one notch!’
The organist complied and took the key up one notch!
immediately turned the message off, in utter shock at what I just heard!
Now, I don’t know about anyone else.  But I found all the theatrics behind the message quite distracting.  What Trimm was saying could have been very relevant, very powerful (but I doubt it).  And very true…but the organist playing behind her, and her “HA!” she exclaimed every 5 words was-quite frankly-getting on my nerves!
I have preached sermons, and I had to tell the organist to stop playing behind me because he was distracting from the message, and was NOT playing under the anointing!  (And what’s more shocking is that the organist was my OWN father! He didn’t speak to me for a minute after that message!)
Now I write what I write not just because of an annoyance or a preference of mine.  It is an admonition for preachers to take a good hard look at the fruit of what they’ve been doing for years.  We have to ask ourselves-at some point-why do we do the things we do…in the church?  Is it relevant?  Effective?  What are the results?
We have preached all these sermons, in all kinds of styles.  With the best musicians playing behind us.  But what good has it done?  Really!
Let’s be real about it.
No one’s getting saved at (church) altars; the ones at the altars are the same ones who been going to the altar for years.  I can talk about it cuz I was a professional altar seeker!   I used to snot and cry all over the place.  I laid out all over the floor.  Shouted.  Danced.  Screamed to the top of my lungs…out of sincerity.  Really believing I was delivered, when the preaching had done nothing more than emotionally move me, excite me.
 Preachers…the saints don’t need to hear another sermon from us.  They need to be taught!
And, as you can see with Pam and I citing our examples of sermonizing by Trimm and Jakes, preachers need NOT imitate the styles of their favorite preacher of the month either!  Because most of them are sermonizing and spreading doctrines of devils!
 What do they need to be taught?  SALVATION.  DELIVERANCE.  THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!!
It is only when the TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS PREACHED that we will rid the altars of professional altar seekers and the  unsaved, unregenerated souls WILL GET SAVED AND DELIVERED!
Let’s know when to preach, when to teach.
The only time we see the word ‘preached’ used in the Bible is when the audience was UNSAVED.  When the apostles spoke to those who were saved, the Word says they taught them, they instructed, they expounded, they rebuked, they reproved…
 Do ur homework…
 Let’s get back to using the foolishness of preaching…the Bible’s way.
 I encourage you to study that whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 1.  It will change your whole perspective on preaching.
What’s In A NAME????
So what exactly IS in a name?  In particularly, a GOOD name.
We often hear of people lauding that it is necessary to protect one’s name, especially in the church and in ministry.  I have heard many a preacher preach and teach Proverbs 22:1 and Ecclesiastes 7:1 totally out of context…
Proverbs 22:1
A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Ecclesiastes 7:1
A GOOD name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.
In both passages of scriptures, it speaks to having a good name (or reputation) in light of one’s record of their entire life, not just a few, good things accomplished in seasons of one’s life.
The Hebrew word for name used in both instances is ‘shem,’ meaning ‘name, reputation, fame.’  It can also mean ‘prosperity.’
Shem was also one of Noah’s son.
The erroneous teaching that has gone forth for years is that one is to protect their name, their reputation, what they are known for, at all costs.  In particularly, in ministry.
I have seen preachers literally attempt to kill…all to protect their name, to keep up the image of being a man of woman of God before the people.
I have heard of preachers buying off people to protect their name/reputation.
I have heard of preachers and church folks do all kinds of dastardly, wicked, sneaky, under-the-table tricks…all under the guise of protecting their name.  For making sure that their reputation is kept in tact.
I see it as an image type of thing going on.
And keeping up an image of prosperity, of success, of godliness, of holiness, of power, or whatever…at all costs…even sinning to keep up the good name, is synonymous (or just like) marketing.
Anyone who has ever worked in marketing knows, image is everything!
If your image or reputation is tarnished, then you are ruined!
So now we have preachers and church folks who hire marketers to market themselves, their ministries, their products/services, their churches, their fellowships, etc.
It is no accident that the most famous preacher in the U.S. (maybe even the world), is a megapreacher who is considered to be a brilliant marketer of his businesses.
And many preachers emulate and try to be just like him.
But I ask…WHAT’S IN A NAME?????
We have been lied to and told our name is all we got, its everything.  So we must protect it at all costs.
I say NOOO!!!!
It is NOT up to us to create (or maintain) a good name.
God promises if we do what is right IN HIS EYES, that HE will MAKE OUR NAMES GREAT.
Now the problem with this is that most people want fame, notoriety, a fantabulous reputation and what has been sold off as prosperity…IN THIS LIFE.
I want you to look at a biblical example of God making somebody’s name GREAT…yet it did not happen until after he left here!
Abraham is often called the father of many nations.  God had great plans for Abraham.  He had a covenant with Abraham.
God promised Abraham to make his name great, yet Abraham had some things going on with him….I want you to notice some things about Abraham.
Abraham didnt have a marketing team to control and manipulate his image.  Abraham didn’t have consultants that advised him to do A or B.   Abraham didn’t have to buy off anyone, neither did he have to sin to perform the will of God.
Abraham didn’t have a squeaky clean record.  Yet God still kept the promises that He did to him.
Abraham lied to not one but TWO kings (Pharaoh and Abimelech) about the identity of Sara, his wife.  He told them she was his sister instead of his wife. (Genesis 12  and 20)
Abraham had mad family strife.  In Genesis 13, Abraham and Lot had to part ways because they just couldn’t see eye to eye on things.  It got so bad that Abraham had to take one section of land and settle there and Lot had to take the exact opposite section of land…they HAD to separate in order to keep the peace. (Genesis 13)
Abraham had MANY concubines (Papa was a rolling stone!)  And MANY children by these concubines.  Hagar and Ishmael are the most popular ones we know about because they were the first.  But the Word states that Abraham had MANY concubines and subsequent children in Genesis 25 (he was a deadbeat dad!)  And he sent them ALL off-just like he did Hagar and Ishmael-when he was ‘done’ with them!
Abraham committed adultery…over and over and over again.  With Hagar (Genesis 16 & 21) and many concubines.
Abraham had incest in the family.  Lot’s daughters slept with Lot and both were impregnated by their own father. (Genesis 19)
As we can see, Abraham had a really BAD reputation.  Yet God promised him to make his name GREAT!
What??????
How can that be?  Aren’t we supposed make our own name good, since the Word says a good name is preferred over many riches?
Why would God promise an adulterer, a deadbeat dad, a whoremonger, a liar, I would say a borderline sex addict (he had to be to have that many concubines!)…why would God make ANY promises to him?  Let alone, the promise to become the father of many nations and to make his name great??????
I thought WE had control over our reputations?  I thought our marketing teams, our clever marketing and image consultants, our assortment of makeover experts, our keen and saavy know-how of how to successfully project a (religious and spiritual) image to a group of people and influence them to do whatever you desire was what made our name great????  And saved souls???
Can you see how prideful and presumptious that sounds??????
The awesome thing is that in spite of Abraham’s lapses in character, in spite of his family issues, in spite of his lack of faith and fear, God STILL made his name GREAT!
It is NOT up to US to make our names GREAT.  It is totally up to GOD!
When we do what God has told us to do, then GOD will do the rest.
STOP trying to work something up to protect your ‘image.’
When you look in the mirror, you shouldn’t see YOU anymore anyways.
You should see CHRIST IN YOU, the HOPE of GLORY!
When people see you, they should see CHRIST JESUS!!!!
What’s in a name??????
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The ONLY name worth ANYTHING in this life or the next-for ALL ETERNITY- is the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!!!!!
There is no need for ‘reputation management’ when it comes to Jesus Christ!
Philippians 2:7
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…
Even though Jesus Christ of Nazareth was God in the flesh, and was therefore equal to God (according to vs. 6), He humbled Himself and MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION!
He could have gotten the best rep EVER!  But instead, He chose to become nothing…to become a servant.  And gave His life as a ransom for many.
So where is this coming from, this trend towards have a marketing team, image consultants and the such within the so-called church????
We are to be in the image of God, not man.
Whenever we try to form an image outside of God, we are dabbling into pride, vanity and idolatry.  ALL of which is against GOD.
Let’s stop falling into the hands of the enemy by falling for the trap of trying to make a name for ourselves.
In the end times that we currently live in, there are many false christs that are risen up, and many of them have marketing teams, image consultants, makeup and makeover specialists, hairstylists, etc. on their ‘staff.’
Who in the WORLD do they think they are?????
Did you die on the cross for humanity?
Were you tortured, humiliated and persecuted before throngs of men who were supposed to worship you?
Are you sinless, guiltless and without reproach?
If not, then fire your ‘staff.’
LET GOD MAKE UR NAME GREAT!
Letting God make your name great may mean you don’t see the actual greatness of your name in your own lifetime, as Abraham did not live to see how his name would be made great.
But if you trust God and love God MORE than your image, MORE than you ambitious nature to want to ‘make it’ in THIS life, MORE than you trying to impress your ministerial fellowship, comrades and associates, MORE than trying to make the Joneses believe you got it going on, MORE THAN ANYTHING, then GOD CAN AND WILL MAKE YOUR NAME GREAT!!!!!  FOR ETERNITY…where it matters!
‘Christian Wicca: It IS a Religion!’
From September 2011
When we hear the word ‘Wicca,’ we associate it immediately with the art or religion of witchcraft.
Wicca has been described as a religion that affords its followers the freedom and liberty to use spells, incantations, chantings, and corporate prayer to bring about healing.  Healing of what is termed ‘Mother Earth,’ healing of individuals’ bodies from ailments and diseases, as well as the healing of nature itself.  Wiccans also celebrate festivals-eight of them per year-that are called ‘sabbats.’  They believe there is a god and a goddess.  They believe that the Trinity is a goddess.  Wiccans started getting popular in the late 1950s, but their foundations were set long before then.  As early as the early 1900s, witchcraft and New Age practices were being openly practiced in other countries.
Wicca was brought about primarily for the purpose of turning the stereotypical tide of how witchcraft was generally perceived.  Due to the Witch hunts of the past, and subsequent persecutions and even executions of alleged and proven witches (i.e. Salem Witch Hunts in Massachusetts), society had succeeded in making the general public afraid of witches and witchcraft.
What Wicca’s purpose was was to show the world that witches mean ‘no harm’ and want to help people, the earth.  Hence the terms ‘good witch’ and ‘good witchcraft’ that would be adopted later on in the 20th century.
I was quite shocked to discover that 1) Wicca is now recognized as a viable ‘religion,’ and 2) that there is a sect of Wiccans who call themselves ‘Christians’ or ‘Trinitarian Wiccans!’
One has to question…How is it possible to combine teachings of Wicca and Christianity?
Christian, or Trinitarian Wiccans also believe that Jesus Christ existed, that He was a prophet and a teacher.  They attempt to follow ‘some’ Christian teachings, but by virtue of the very essence of Wicca, they cannot because it will require for them to reject some of the very things that makes them Wiccan.
Hence the term-and new sect of Wicca-that is now known as Trinitarian, or Christian, Wicca!
This is nothing more than another classic example of mixing two religions and coming up with yet another concoction, a new set of belief systems, and recruiting followers in which to label them as such.
What caught my attention about this new sect is the fact that these are witches who are open about their agenda….and have no problem being associated with beliefs in Christianity!
But I also want to point out that SOME of these Trinitarian Wiccans possibly have infiltrated the organized church system and have brought in with them a whole new array of deceit, error, and false doctrine.
This would explain all of the false doctrine and error that is latent in a lot of sermons across church pulpits.
The way that this has been able to happen is because one of the prominent characteristics of Wiccans is that they desire to do good.  Their desire (their worship) of earth and THIS life.  Their desire to see others healed, at any cost.  Their general acceptance and practice of the supernatural.
These are all characteristics that have been accepted into the organized church system.
Due to the lack of GODLY GENUINE POWER (because God is no longer in the churches), church people generally have-out of desperation-accepted ANY FORM of power to step in, so it can appear that God is still there…
2 Timothy 3:4-6
Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts…
(I also think it ironic that we call male witches ‘warlocks.’   A main student of probably the most famous witch in this country, Laurie Cabot, clarifies that a warlock is not a male witch; the term warlock means ‘traitor.’ So generally speaking, male witches like to call themselves witches as well).  Interesting…
But anyway, the lack of power in the organized church system has brought about an amalgamation-a mixture, a merger of sorts-an acceptance of the merger of the clean and the unclean.  The vile with the holy.
And along with these mergers (for trust, there are many more such ‘mergers’ going on with mainstream christianity i.e. Crislam) is the trend towards what is termed as ‘religious tolerance.’
Tolerance is one of the ways the enemy has been able to slowly but surely infiltrate popular thinking-in and out of the church system.  To tolerate something is to give it acceptance.  To not call something evil, that IS inherently evil.  To not call wrong wrong.
The Word of God tells us often to shun evil, and cleave to that which is good.  We are not to embrace evil, even as a means to attain good.
The organized church system has embraced evil, to do good, and given full access to pulpits across this country to witches.
Some of these witches are very popular.  Most of them most would not label or term them as witches, per se, because they are blinded to the very characteristics of witches, Wicca and religion in general.
As long as they can produce-produce that healing, produce that deliverance, produce that answer to prayer-that is what most people are concerned with…no matter at what cost.
I saw something very interesting on TV today:  I saw a Wiccan prayer service.  They were singing, chanting (in English, by the way), they were calling upon the gods and goddesses.  They were praying for someone’s healing.  They chanted ‘Blessings!  Blessings!’  Then they clapped and were dismissed.
Looked just like one of those ‘prayer meetings’ I used to attend when I went to church.  MORE than one!
REAL believers-those who have not allowed themselves to tolerate or fall for the mixture(s) of doctrines and belief systems that are so popular today-must NOT ‘tolerate’ mixtures of christianity in the guise of showing the world we are viable, relevant, produce results or productive.  Or tolerant.
If this is not proof positive that one needs to come out and be separate, I don’t know what is.
Wisdom for Ministers…From An Online Deliverance Ministry
I had the pleasure of finally meeting my mentor, Pamela Sheppard, face-to-face this week.  This week marks 31 years that Pam has been in ministry!
I also had the honor of interviewing Pam and asking her a few questions about what it is like for a woman in ministry, at a time when it was not  popular for a woman to not only be in ministry in a mostly male-dominated denomination, but to be in leadership as well.
Look at the videos and glean wisdom.
If you would like to be mentored by someone who has been there and done that in ministry, call 518-477-5759.
“I Can’t Find A Church!” – An Online Deliverance Ministry
By Pamela Sheppard
” Many readers and visitors to  pamsheppard.com will be shocked to hear a minister of 30 years write that for most of you, it is best that you not attend church in your local community. I served as a pastor for about 15 of the 27 years both denominational and nondenominational service. Today, I personally believe that a person can grow spiritually without regularly attending an organized church. Most definitely, you should assemble with the saints, but the word of God does not lay out a detailed order of service, nor does it suggest the day you should assemble, the time or even the nature of the place or building where gathering together should take place. We live in a computerized world, where we can “assemble” 24/7.
Simply put, I truly believe that the organized church as it now stands will be completely revamped by the Lord. Why? Because quite frankly, the traditional structures are not working. When I wrote 3 of my 6 books, I was hopeful that repentance would bring about reformation and renewal to the organized church. However, the love of money, which is the root of ALL evil, has permeated most of the church and I seriously doubt if the Lord is going to allow it to continue to exist in its present state. Judgement is HERE (for the organized church) and I shudder at what is happening to church and to churchgoers. In the meantime, for those of you who feel that you need to assemble in an organized church, the following comments are provided for you to assist you in your pursuit to find a church.
The following excerpt is taken from one of the chapters in “Faces of the Religious Demon.” If after you read this you would like to obtain either the ebook or the softcover, click here. In truth, I do not believe that Jesus intended for any one who follows Him to lower their spiritual guard by relying on others to watch on his behalf. Just as we don’t need a weather man to tell us that spring is coming, we also don’t need people to complicate the obvious. Case in point. If the Anti-Christ is actually a human being, then it is clear to me that he shall come forth out of Christianity for a very simple reason. Satan has had a seat in the organized church for centuries. There is no better place for the devil to conceal, prepare and empower his son of evil and destruction than within a worldly Christian system.
The word of God clearly testifies not only to the fact that demons were operating during the Lord’s earthly ministry, but that renewed demonic activity will manifest in the latter days. (I Timothy Ch:4:1-4) Paul’s warning to Timothy does not merely relate to new manifestations of evil in the world but to an ever-increasing apostasy in the professing church, a cult promoted by seducing spirits of a highly sensitive spirituality. In spite of this infiltration by demons into the organized church, I still believe there is a remnant of believers within the system that GOD HIMSELF is calling out.  However, the organized church is an institution created by man, not even described or promoted by the Word of God:
“…Realize that being part of a group that calls itself a “church” does not make you saved, holy, righteous, or godly any more than being in Yankee Stadium makes you a professional baseball player. Participating in church-based activities does not necessarily draw you closer to God or prepare you for a life that satisfies Him or enhances your existence….Sadly, many people will label this view ‘blasphemy.’. However, you should realize that the Bible neither describes nor promotes the local church as we know it today. Many centuries ago, religious leaders created the prevalent form of ‘church’ that is so widespread in our society to help people be better followers of Christ. But the local church many have come to cherish—the services, offices, programs, buildings, ceremonies—is neither biblical nor unbiblical. It is a-biblical— that is, such an organization is not addressed in the Bible.” (Revolution, pg. 37) 5
Therefore, since the church model of modern times is neither promoted nor discredited in the Word of God, I believe that it’s viability should be determined by some very wise and practical applications:
1. In terms of its structure, is it an episcopal denomination or an independent body? Quite frankly, if it is a connected church, then even though it may be uncorrupted at the local level, linked to an ungodly authority or “Mother Church” (headquarters, diocese, fellowships, and the such) will eventually spoil or damage the spiritual fruits throughout the entire system. By nature of its organization, a religious demon will have a seat in high places. The complicated, political form of an episcopal church with a connected governing body should be avoided primarily due to its structure. Consequently, its bishops and leaders will be prone to cover-ups, particularly where improprieties and outright sin may be involved among its various charges. In my second book, I describe this dilemma:
“A Bishop’s power lies in his ability to appoint a pastor and fill a pulpit. Since pastors in full-time ministry are totally dependent each year upon whether or not the Bishop chooses to favor them with an appointment to a church that will be lucrative enough to continue to provide for themselves and their families, a conflict of interest automatically inherent within the Episcopal form of church government will ultimately manifest.” (The Making of A Prophet, pg. 84) 6
Dealing with sin in such a structure is like trying to eliminate roaches from a city block where all of the buildings are erected side by side and are therefore “connected”. If you bomb one apartment with a pesticide, or even exterminate an entire building, the roaches will simply run upstairs, downstairs or to the building next door. Regardless of how clean you keep your apartment, you will not be able to contain the roaches, especially after dark. Just go in the kitchen and turn on your lights and hundreds of them will be flying around as if they had wings!!! Every connected building has to be bombed from one corner to the other on the entire street, or the roaches will soon return.
So is the fate of the connected churches. The leaven of the Pharisees is impossible to contain without a complete annihilation.
2.  Where an independent church is concerned, the issue is not so much its structure but whether or not it has a system in place to avoid spiritual neglect or abuse. Within a small assembly or a mega church, every sheep in that church should have someone who personally knows him and who ministers to his personal needs. If members are compelled to go outside of their local church to receive competent counseling, deliverance, healing and recovery, then I suspect that the primary benefit experienced in church is merely a soothing of their flesh as a byproduct of the worship experience of song and praise. Moreover, congregations of this kind provide a social environment for family members. In my opinion, social contacts with Christians can be obtained at a Christian concert and family activities are available at the local YMCA. If your spiritual needs are not being met at your local church, then you are just involved in a social club and your local church has no real spiritual value. Recently I learned that state of the art children’s ministry programs can become traps due to the fact that the parents won’t leave a church even when they realize that the basic core of the church is corrupt. The pressures for dissatisfied parents to remain are exerted by the social and entertainment needs of their children.
3.  The independent churches that can be very dangerous include those that call themselves “deliverance churches.” In some of these assemblies, the religious demon and the witchcraft spirit are running rampant with counterfeits in worship, doctrine, prayer and other strange practices including a heavy emphasis on being slain in the spirit.
“A demonstration of real power is not falling slain. We see a lot of this phenomena in the ministries of TV evangelists, particularly in the Pentecostal and non-denominational churches. Demonstration of God’s power would be after you have fallen out in the spirit, what condition were you in when you got to your feet?!!! Where you healed? Were you delivered? Did God speak to you a word in due season concerning a special problem you have been challenged with? Or did you just pass out because everybody else was passing out!? ( The Making of a Prophet, pg. 199) 7
4. I agree with Dr. Rebecca Brown’s warning concerning various counterfeits manifested through the speaking in other tongues, primarily among word of faith, pentecostal and Charismatic Catholic churches:
“Christians have made the terrible mistake of assuming that ALL tongues are from God. How wrong they are!…It is well-known that many occultic rituals are done in tongues….The fact that Catholics speak in tongues is not proof that they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Too many of these precious Catholic souls assume that because they are speaking in tongues, they are saved. How can the Holy Spirit be operative and manifesting in a system of idolatry? Those involved in the Catholic Charismatic movement who really start reading and studying the Bible soon realize they must separate themselves from the idolatrous Roman Catholic Church if they are going to serve the true Jesus of the Bible.” (Prepare for War, pgs. 182,183) 8
5.  However, the crucial factors of your assessment of a local church actually relate to the security of your eternal life, which is truly where the rubber meets the road. Why go to church if, in the final analysis, you do not escape damnation by traveling the narrow way to eternal life? Assuredly, you should examine how and with what regularity the doctrines of repentance, resurrection and rebirth are being preached and taught? A church with a Jezebel influence will minimize or overlook the importance of these “3 R’s” through excessive tradition, polity and other less important priorities of doctrine.
6.  If a local church minimizes the need to learn the devices of the devil or does not even recognize the existence and the workings of demonic forces in these times, then it is in a low condition of spiritual life and power. I believe that such a church should be avoided like the plague. In fact, such ignorance on the part of a congregation’s leadership is an indication to demons of the leaders’ accommodation to them through fear, an open door to demonic influence. According to Jessie Penn-Lewis:
“A perspective view of the ages covered by the history in Bible records, shows that the rise and fall in spiritual power of the people of God, was marked by the recognition of the existence of the demoniacal host of evil. When the Church of God in the old and new dispensations was at the highest point of spiritual power, the leaders recognized, and drastically dealt with, the invisible forces of Satan and when at the lowest, they were ignored, or allowed to have free course, among the people.” (War on the Saints, 9th edition, pg.27)
Consequently, if there is no emphasis in the local church on spiritual warfare and deliverance, that church is without spiritual power.
7.  The emphasis upon the Word of God in a church should and could be a good sign; Nevertheless, it is misleading and immaterial to base your assessment of a church solely upon evidence that all its members carry bibles, yellow markers and recite scriptures. For when leadership does not rightly divide the word, then heresies posing as revelation truths give place to the doctrines of devils that Paul warned Timothy about (I Timothy 4:1): the prosperity gospel, dominion teaching, “name it and claim it”, pre-tribulation rapture, submission to authority, eternal security, no ordination for women, and other doctrines too numerous to mention even in one book.
False doctrines of this kind are skillfully birthed by teaching demons to deceive and exploit the people. If the devil had nerve enough to get “religious” by reciting scripture out of its context to tempt the Lord Jesus Himself, then he has trained his demonic army to do likewise to us. (Matthew 4:1-11)
“Out of context” preaching tends to draw those who have not truly repented nor been converted, but who are enticed to come to church by the excitement that scriptural hype can produce. Such preaching and teaching draws people, places and things to the building—those who seek blessings to get their needs met or to fulfill their dreams—but they have not really been drawn to Christ.
8.  A church after the Lord’s heart is the church of Philadelphia: those who do not deny His name and who have kept His word.(Revelation 3:7-13) This is a church that will not compromise the truth, either for the favor of the world or for unity with other churches. Since we all see through a glass darkly, a good pastor is one who continually examines if he is rightly dividing the word. When errors and contradictions are uncovered, then a good pastor openly and publicly admits to his or her mistakes, correcting any inaccurate teachings without hesitation. The Lord declared that the church of Philadelphia was of little strength, so it is clear that His assessment was not based upon numbers of members, wealth or resources. I believe that a major part of keeping His word is to go forth and cast out demons. A good church is about building people so that they can confront the demonic influences to expel the darkness in their own environment, equipping the sheep to be living stones, holy vessels for the Spirit of the Lord to dwell in.
UPDATE:  (9/22/11) I’ve come a long way since I wrote this article. In this hour, I believe that all churches have become dwelling places of demons for one primary reason. They all teach that man chooses God by a decision of his or her own free will, by saying:  “I accept Jesus” and by asking Him to “come into my heart.” Jesus is at the right hand of the Father. The Holy Ghost comes into the human spirit and not the heart. The heart is a function of the fallen soul of man and it is desperately wicked, and as such, has no capability of choosing God without the ministry of the Holy Ghost.
But even so, there is a refuge for you if you, too, have recognized and seen the organized church system is stock full of demons.
If you have seen it, too, and if you are looking for mentoring, for counseling, for deliverance and healing, please call  518-477-5759.
Am I Under A Curse? Or A Plague? Part 2
By Pamela Sheppard
You are NOT cursed…..It’s A CULTURAL PREDISPOSITION
Rather than a curse, what you may have is a cultural predisposition that includes patterns and trends, as well as a background or upbringing that you became acculturated by.
Here are some of them.
1.  Patterns and trends— Within your family tree is a long line of substance abusers giving the appearance of a genetic predisposition. This is NOT a curse but a predisposition or tendency toward a certain lifestyle. Social and cultural factors have been influenced by unseen demonic forces wherein by example, you have developed a vulnerability to the substance abuse demon.
A review of Deuteronomy Ch. 27 points to the following as open doors:
…idolatry or witchcraft …oppression of the weak
…sodomy …dishonoring of parents
…incest …theft
…injustice …perjury
2.   A background in the occult or false religions—If you have practiced divination, sorcery, roots, santeria, obeah or some form of witchcraft, ie. astrology, yoga, acupuncture, hypnosis, transcendental meditation, chanting, reincarnation and the use of a Ouija board, to name a few, you have opened a demonic doorway.  These practices have also been linked to religious idolatry or involvement in mediumship or psychic phenomena. I would include in this list a family history of Catholicism, Mormonism, Hinduism, Buddhism, any religion that calls itself Christian, but in any way adds to or detracts from the gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly the divinity of the Son of God.
3.   Pressures in early childhood — When as a child you were denied basic emotional needs for love, safety and self esteem, you became vulnerable to demons. Physical and sexual abuse are included here.
4.   Emotional shock or sustained emotional pressure — Traumatic events such as violence, incest or rape as well as a sudden and frightening accidents. These kind of episodes are breeding grounds for demonic activity. Intense fear can also lead to denial and escapism.
5.  Sinful acts or habits —Demons have a right of access when you made a conscious decision to practice sin. Whoever practices sin over a prolonged period of time is actually imitating the devil’s nature and character and cuts himself off from the power of God.
In particular, demons are attracted to sins of long duration such as sexual immorality, including not only fornication but sodomy or
homosexuality.
6.  Negative emotions  —Anger, hatred, unforgiveness, rejection, and self-pity can lead to rebellion. Rebellion is as “the sin of
witchcraft.”
7.   Character defects — Unaware of the impact of unseen forces on your personality, demons have been empowered to develop your mind, emotions, feelings, and will. Your personality has become a mixture of your own soul under the influence of demons.
Though last, character defects is where the bulk of the work is targeted in the therapeutic model I have developed called “deliverance counseling.”  A major counseling goal is to help you to recognize hidden battlegrounds in your own life so that you can find victory in the blood of Jesus.
I’ll restate the truth. There is no such thing as a generational curse. Why not? Because The blood of Jesus broke all curses at the cross 2000 years ago.
Am I Under A Curse? Or A Plague? Part 1
By Pamela Sheppard
Do you believe that curses have been passed on to you from your ancestors, as far back as four generations? If this is what you believe, then you are in denial of the scripture that assures you that those who are in Christ have been delivered from all the power of darkness and the wicked one cannot touch us. (Col. 1:12; 1 John 5:18).
No curse can go through the cross of Christ and have dominion over those who are in Christ. We are not under a curse once we have come through the cross. Every spiritual blessing is for us who are in Christ Jesus (Eph. 1:3). Anyone that insists they are cursed needs to know who they are in Christ, and maybe who Christ is as well. “We have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption (Rom.8:15).
What I have found is that those who have been involved in deliverance ministries have actually brought a curse upon themselves by accepting a specific generational curse as a fact.  As a result, their belief in this teaching actually creates a self-fulfilling prophecy that the worker and the captive actually bring to pass together.  As Paul warned the Galatians, any one who adds to or detracts
from the gospel of Jesus Christ will become CURSED.
Ironically, the generational curses teaching adds to and detracts from the gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly the power of the cross. This teaching promotes a law that hinders grace, and it is by grace that we are set free from the curse of the law. Consequently, those who uphold the “generational curses” doctrine which states that Satan and his demons create curses for Christians because of ones ancestors, actually opens the door to a curse.
Taken a step further, this false teaching actually creates the fear that put those who believe in it in even more bondage than what they may originally have sustained! We as believers “have not received a spirit of fear but power, love and a sound mind.” If you believe this teaching, you are risking the soundness of your mental state, bringing on further anxiery and stress that may “cause you to faint”
when you enter into spiritual battle against demons.
Therefore, if you stand in spiritual warfare with a deliverance worker against a self proclaimed curse that was never there in the first place, you forfeit the grace that is needed to set you free. This teaching is particularly dangerous because it implies that Jesus didn’t break the curse on the cross.  As such, it stands to reason that if you believe that you are in bondage to a generational curse, then you must not be saved.
If you are not saved then you are STILL under the power of darkness and Jesus did not remove your sins and His blood has not cleansed you from sin. Therefore, you have NOT been translated out of darkness and the spiritual weapons of Ephesians 6 will not work for you, if you are in bondage to a generational curse.
So what does the devil get out of this false teaching?
He gets those who teach it and those who believe it to lose grace and to weaken their faith.
Recently, with the death of the man of God, David Wilkerson, some deliverance workers posted on facebook that Wilkerson died  because he was subject to a curse, put on him by witches as retaliation for his exposing witches and witchcraft in the house of God. These workers claimed that they were going to interrogate demons, uncover who was responsible and return curses.
According to the scriptures, if they are correct, then David Wilkerson was not a child of God. If a man who constantly preached the cross was subject to a curse, therefore, he was not under the protection of the cross and the enemy was able to not only touch Wilkerson, but kill him outright. I know that David Wilkerson was a true and faithful prophet of God so no witches or demons were capable of putting a curse on him.
So what happens in instances like these?
Consider this. There is a difference between a curse and a plague.
By the cross, Jesus delivers us from a curse because when we become born again, old things become new and the past is washed in the precious blood of the Lamb, which includes any sins that your ancestors may have committed that could possibly affect YOU.
A curse is specific in that it is an appeal to a supernatural power for harm to come to specific people, places and things. A plague is “different.”
A plague is much more general. Its like a tornado. When it hits NO ONE is spared from its effects and even the innocent who are simply in the wrong place at the time of the tornado. The innocent get swept up with the guilty.
Jesus warned the elect of God to “come out of Her, lest ye be partakers of HER sins and receive of HER plagues.”
If He is referring to the organized church, (and I believe that He is) then the innocent will be partakers of the plagues along with the guilty.
A plague is a widespread affliction, a sudden destructive influx or an outbreak. It can also be persistent, but it is also infectious—in the spirit, a plague can be compared to a highly infectious disease like the bubonic plague. Those who hear the warning and continue to remain in a defiled place are subject to a plague, and the elect of God are not exempt from it.
Since most of those who come to me to be set free from demonic torment were also attending a church that could not deliver them, I simply asked them to give me 90 days of no church attendance. Those who can’t do so are not delivered.
They remain not cursed but “plagued.”
Let a word to the wise be sufficient.
Is The Church An Evil Tree? (An Online Deliverance Ministry)
By Pamela Sheppard
Daily I am being put into contact with many longterm, faithful churchgoers who are practically demon possessed.  Jesus said that to look at the fruit, one must examine the tree. If the tree is good, then the fruit is good. If the fruit is evil, then the tree must be evil. So based on this simple premise of “you shall know them by their fruit”, why then are faithful churchgoers in so much demonic torment?
Good question!!!!
One thing I have learned through the practice of deliverance, the casting out of devils, is that I really don’t help anyone. I have never helped anyone!!!! It is always the Lord who does the work.Whether I lay hands or not, I am never actually DOING the work.
It is CHRIST JESUS WHO DOES THE DELIVERING!
Furthermore, I have found from my own personal experience as a good, sincere pastor in the organized church for over 25 years, that those who had been faithful members, followers of my ministry bore significantly less fruit than those that I counseled as a professional, Christian therapist on a weekly basis. So I had to ask myself one simple question.
Why IS that? Someone can come into telephone counseling with me for 6 months to a year and bare ten times more spiritual fruit than some who had faithfully attended my “church” for 5 years, 10 years and 15 years.
It should also be pointed out there are people in my camp that have heard countless sermons and teachings. I had known them personally and been an active figure in their lives, yet spiritual fruit in Christ was barely visible. I believe the Holy Spirit began to show me WHY churchgoers were more demonized than non-churchgoers.
The passive model of church, where the pastor gets up on a platform, gives “a word” after the choir sings, DOES NOT BARE FRUIT.
To bare real fruit for Christ, each sheep must be individually fed through counsel, guidance, up front and in your face ministry at least one hour a week, one on one. As the babe grows, the contact can be reduced after a year or so. Once the babe is a mature Christian, then he or she can “feed his or her self and then become a worker to feed new babes.
Take a case in point:  A young woman came to Jesus by way of a Mormon outreach and the Blue Book, as she watched Christian television. She truly was convinced that she was saved by repeating a sinner’s prayer, yet almost immediately, demons began to imitate the Holy Ghost. This client was sent by a supernatural experience to the ministry of a mega preacher whose name I cannot mention to protect the client’s confidentiality. She gave up fornication, and became a very faithful church member, Yet as time when on, the demons became more active. So she sat in church, sought counsel from her pastor, who referred her to another pastor. Ultimately, this client found me through the Internet.
The Lord sent her to me primarily to expose the problem. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that if I don’t speak to that demon, it will NOT come out. I have spoken to it and it has laughed and giggled back at me. But I am convinced that it WILL come out once I discover what ground it is standing on. Even so, my client is truly blessed because I have done the most difficult task of all.
Try to imagine how hard it is for someone who looks saved, acts saved, sounds saved, goes to bible study not once but twice a week and twice on Sunday, does not drink, fornicate, and tithes too?!!!! How hard it is for a pastor who is over at least 100 folks, to personally minister to, disciple and (if necessary) deliver such a one???  A good, upstanding, moral member of the church who may not even KNOW they are in need of deliverance?  Of salvation?  Of discipling or enlightenment?
Beloved web visitors, that is practically impossible.
On top of that, she is in the ministry of a mega preacher and his son, no less!!!!! I have been looked down upon by clients who merely study the works of mega preachers, much less who are in their company on a regular basis. Yet, I have been able to prove and convince this client that she could not possibly be saved. If I don’t do anything else, I have done my job. This particular client did not understand either repentance or resurrection, and so it was very obvious to me from the beginning, in spite of all of her good works, that she was not saved.
In truth, I have accomplished a major task with this young woman. For several others have hung up the phone on me with a curt “how dare you question my salvation?”
If it were not for the torment and the fact that this young woman is hungry for the truth, she would be just another statistic of a person who “missed it” for reasons that are not of her own doing. (I bolded the “and” because even some professing Christians who are seriously demon oppressed have refused my counsel, blind and foolish are they.)
Where I really throw my hands up in the air is not over this one person.
It is over the countless millions who are in the same boat as this young woman, either sitting in a church somewhere, or God help them, learning on their own from Christian television (or nowadays, checking out various ministries on social networks, YouTube and BlogTalkRadio).
For example, droves of people are responding to the call in various mega churches and taken into another room to receive the gift of tongues. The issue here is not that mega preachers don’t preach Christ. They do!!!!
Nevertheless, I learned something from my small caseload that I did not realize before. I did not think that the devil would use the word to birth disciples into his own kingdom.
Well, he DOES!!!! In practically ALL of my cases of demonic torment, a common factor is that 95 percent of them were not demon possessed BEFORE THEY WENT TO CHURCH!!!!
It is one thing to come to the Lord and miss it.  It is yet another to listen to someone who claims to know Christ preach and then pick up a powerful religious demon that is difficult to get rid of. I know what needs to be done for my clients.
They need to go back to ground zero and be convicted of sin through the spirit of repentance. They need to be brought back to the cross. They clearly do not understand resurrection nor repentance. My job is to rightly divided the word to them on both of those subjects.
Whether the Lord delivers them of the religious demon first and then immediately saves them or the reverse, is clearly up to Him.
My job now is prayer for mercy, since many of my clients are not at fault here.
IT IS THE FAULT OF THE ORGANIZED CHURCH!!!!!
The church models that are out there are, for the most part, NOT WORKING, in spite of the billions of dollars that are being spent on “preaching a gospel” which apparently is not THE gospel.
From my personal background and experience, I could clearly see that the denominations were not working and I have grown to a place where I know that unless there is widescale repentance within the denominational church, they are coming DOWN!!!
I also have known for a while now that the devil was using the non-denominationals and the Christian cults like the Mormons, but I certainly did not fathom the extent of the problem. Whether it be denominations, non-denominations, Christian television or radio, I finally came to terms with the fact that those who have done the right things but who has gotten the wrong results that NONE OF IT IS WORKING!!!!!
Several of my clients have done wrong things— sins of all kinds, witchcraft, incest, you name it but some of my clients have done no wrong. They have lived lives that Christians who are not being tormented by demons should emulate. It is sad to say but there are countless faithful church goers who have been out and out deceived by religion and religious people. I can find no excuse to place the blame on the deceived.
Today, people are being saved and delivered, one at a time over the telephone.
I am available 7 days a week, 4 hours a day. But I am only one person. I can only handle 20 clients a week. I am getting closer to the end of my life. I can only make a very small impact. Even if I was a mega preacher, I would not be able to do more than any of the rest of them are doing. They are not really the root of the problem. It is the model that we have ALL been using—bringing huge crowds as well as small groups into small and big barns, without repentance, on a “believe and receive” gospel.
Let’s face it and be real here. As a denominational pastor for years, I myself could do absolutely nothing. Yet today, the tide is turning, the Holy Spirit is moving and people are being saved and delivered. My job is very simple. I preach the gospel of repentance and the bodily resurrection of the Lord and the Holy Spirit is moving on hardened hearts to lead people to repent, giving them the faith to believe on Jesus. I am casting out demons—on the telephone, no less–from those who will humble themselves to receive it.
This one referenced case has taught me that since the organized church is not working, radio and tv is not working, it would be useless for me to reinvent the wheel cause it wouldn’t work with me either. It hasn’t and it won’t. I don’t know any other models other than working with people one on one. I have been out on the street in street ministry. That DOES work if the basic gospel is being preached and it is not aimed toward bringing people into a church that is going to confuse them.
What I am expecting is that the Lord is going to do a mass thing, around the world, similar to what He did to me and for me. I was an atheist and I was not seeking Him. He came after me in a dream and brought me to the cross without the benefit of man. I was sent to church, not to be nurtured, but that I would understand and perceive the problem and learn what NOT to do about 25 years later. More than two decades of “Church” has not done much for me.  I remained a root in dry ground. I got a hunger for the word from Kenneth Copeland and others and Joyce Meyer provided some good, solid teaching.
But for the most part, I was attracted to Copeland and the rest of them because they were “supernatural” and my background was in witchcraft. The two were almost an extension of each other and so I found word of faith to be “comfortable”—in other words, charismatic witchcraft. The denominations harmed me in the beginning because they were loose on sin and so until I got grounded on my own and took dominion over my own sin, I fell to carnal ministers. But once I had sexual sin under control, the denominations did not really harm me. They may have hurt my feelings and injured my pride, but they didn’t harm me. They couldn’t harm me because I was saved BEFORE I arrived. Just as the denomination I was in didn’t know the truth, I didn’t know the truth either.
The major point I am making is that the church as it is now operating today is “doing harm” to people who are serious about finding Jesus.
And I shudder at the thought.
I KNOW the problem.
The problem is 200 years old, starting with evangelist like Charles Finney and others. I thought I KNEW the organizational solution. Once, I thought that the answer was in home fellowships, in spite of the many problems that can affect that also.
You see, I really didn’t realize just how much the devil has penetrated the church.
I, too, had been contaminated by the beliefs, traditions and practices of both the denominational and the nondenominational Protestant church. It seemed that every week after I left the institutional church, the Lord brought to my attention some practice or some area of biblical “mis-” interpretation that I need to be cleansed from.
And He has been faithful to do just that!
If you would like to be cleansed, too, give me a call at 518-477-5759.
