Category Archives: demons and devils

By Pamela Sheppard

Much of the bible was written by people who heard the voice of God.  Thirty-four years born again, I have heard voices, even engaged in conversations on occasion with either the Holy Ghost or the devil.  In fact, I remained quite comfortable with the voices that spoke  messages sent  in visions, mostly dreams. However,  until the Lord revealed to me that 90% of what I either saw or heard in the spirit came from the enemy who imitated the voice of God, I realized that it was time for me to learn how to try the spirits to see if they be of God.

This shocking revelation was quite sobering and so I have become extra vigilant in these times, recognizing that we live in an hour when strong delusion has been released and the enemy has become increasingly skillful over the last 19 centuries at transforming himself into a being of light.

The difference between my experience and that of those who hear voices 24/7 is that I was never tormented. My mental state was  never impaired and I never lost any sleep. Once I discovered that I was hearing much more from the devil than I was hearing from the Holy Ghost, my knowledge of the truth practically nullified the enemy’s conversations with me.

Once I knew the truth, as Jesus said, “the truth MADE me free.”

However, once  I brought my deliverance counseling model called the SEW Program to the web in December 2002, I was surprised to discover that so many professing Christians were “hearing voices.” The demonic nature of voices needs no evidence.  To  captives who are in torment yet they  do not have a medical, physiological condition, it is clearly evident that the voices they are hearing are “NOT THEIR OWN.”

Since the days of Noah, the disembodied spirits of the offspring produced from the forbidden sex between fallen angels and women that died in the flood are called demons, evil spirits, the Nephilim. Since the flood,  they  roam the earth looking for a familar place to “inhabit.” Dreading the dry places like deserts and haunted houses, human flesh provides demons the most conducive habitation to their liking.

Logically, it would seem that demons would settle down in a home of flesh and try to remain quiet and undetectable, and for the most part, this is what most demons do.  However, not the “talkative ones.” In an effort to kill, steal and destroy,  loquacious (or talkative) demons cause their voices to be  loud, accusatory, condemning, vulgar and often urging  their captives to commit an assortment of unseemly acts.  It seems “the voices”  are hell bent on tormenting their victims to either lose their minds, kill somebody, or kill themselves.  Once the demons  have destroyed “their home of flesh,”  tormenting,  auditory demons  simply find themselves yet another human home to reside in and torment in like manner.

Consequently in deliverance counseling, it is important to be able to differentiate what is purely spiritual or supernatural in nature from what is physiological or medical. Deliverance counseling is a brief therapy that takes authority in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth over what is spiritual or supernatural.  On a natural level, our stand is that medication that is actually working is an asset to what we do in SEW because the medication allows us to renew the minds of those who are reasonably rational.

Some of the more common medications prescribed are Effexor, Risperdal, Wellbutrin, Largactil,  and Clopixol.   Even though these  medications may have different side effects on different people, for the most part, the captive whose demons are under control by medication is a big help to me. My task is to  equip the captive to walk in the spirit and to put on the whole armor of God.

As such, medication can induce  a  reasonably sound, rational mind, quieting down the voices of the demons so that my own voice can be heard and understood. Along these same lines,  since substance abuse of all kinds can induce anxiety disorders, panic attacks and other physiological conditions that incite and  draw demons, all  captives in deliverance counseling  must be clean and sober.

In the mental health field, any discourse or conversation between two or more voices, schizophrenia is the diagnosis of choice. When a running commentary occurs in a person’s thoughts, this alone is enough for a mental health worker to look  to schizophrenia opposed to other diagnoses where hearing voices is also  a factor.  I  have worked with both the spiritual and the schizophrenic side of hearing voices. I believe that although schizophrenia is a disease, there is definitely a demonic influence involved, more or less.

My rule of thumb is this. Disorganized thinking is the primary way to distinguish a mental disorder from demonic torment.  Those who express unusual or odd beliefs of delusional proportions are too mentally ill for me to prepare them to actively participate in their own deliverance. Those who are possessed by conspiracy theories, believe they are being gang stalked, spied on, watched, who read certain gestures, signs, comments, passages from books, etc. in a personal, irrational way, are not good candidates for deliverance counseling.

For example, I am reminded of a  charismatic word of faith churchgoing, tongue speaking client who was on a high dosage of medication, yet she still  heard voices 24/7.  Joyce could not go to church because when she heard the voices, she would ask those sitting beside her, “Did you just say thus and so?.”  Church folk were getting annoyed. It happened so often that her husband went to church and left Joyce sitting outside in the car.

Joyce also  insisted that when she was at home, the voices came from  her neighbors speaking to her through the walls. Once she thought she heard the name “Joyce” on the radio and she called the station wanting to know why were they talking about her on the air.  Once I provided clear, irrefutable evidence that the voices were not her neighbors or anyone standing by her and Joyce still held on to her delusions, I could not proceed with her case.

The Dangers of Not Being THANKFUL

When we were all little kids, (hopefully) our parents taught us to say ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you.’

It was taught to us as a part of being mannerable.  It’s just good social etiquette to say ‘Thank you’ after someone has done soemething for you or given something to you.

But being thankful doesn’t just stop there…at good manners.  Being thankful is a biblical principle that protects us from spiritual deceit, corruption and error.

Being thankful to God does…

I want you to read Romans 1.  Study it.  Read it again.  As I read it again this morning, the scriptures seemed to jump out from the page at me…

Romans 1:17

The Just shall live by FAITH….

If the just lives by faith, this means that they do NOT worry or fret over how their bills are going to get paid.  They do NOT covet after the riches of another.  They don’t work 8 jobs to keep up with the Joneses.  They may have a job, or they may not…but one thing IS for sure…they live BY FAITH.

If more people understood that biblical principle, then the error of the prosperity doctrine would spread no further.  Replete among the followers and purveyors of the prosperity message are people who simply LACK FAITH IN GOD.  They covet after the riches and possessions of another.  And they are NOT thankful FOR WHAT THEY HAVE!

They are greedy.  Never satisfied…and certainly not thankful.  Not to God…and probably not to their fellow man, either.

There is a danger in not being thankful.  It’s not just it offends God.  But being unthankful is breeding ground for covetousness and seducing spirits to come in and cause one to err ‘from the faith.’

When we begin to trust in the arm of flesh-ours or anyone else’s-to provide for our needs, instead trusting God implicitly, then we start placing debt, lack, poverty and our not having certain things (even if those things are necessities) on a pedestal, of sorts.  The debt, the lack, the poverty…they all become IDOLS in our lives…that replace the POWER and PROVISION OF GOD.  We place pre-eminence on our lack instead of faith in our God to provide EVERY NEED that we have…

Once this happens, a domino effect takes place.  What starts out as idolatry and lack of faith starts to grow into not SEEING GOD as God in our lives.

Romans 1:21-23

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were THANKFUL; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

When we place our lack, debt, poverty and the such above God in our lives, that thing has become an idol in our lives.  God is taken off the throne and our lack, debt, poverty takes its place.  And how do we worship the gods of lack, debt, and poverty?

By trusting in the arm of FLESH to provide.  By making up doctrines and teachings that will help us feel ’empowered’ to prosper.  Admit it: there is a certain helplessness that comes with lack.  Most people HATE it.  And will do ANYTHING to avoid feeling helpless.

The downfall of many a man has been that the enemy KNOWS that it is in the innate nature of a man to provide for his family.  When this ability is hindered or taken away, this emasculates the man…and many men will do just about anything to provide for their families.

Many of the mega preachers that are so heavily-revered sold out to the god of mammon…they began ‘ministry’ in lack, debt, poverty. Listen to their testimonies of being in poverty.  Shaking roaches out of their clothes.  Living in houses with the utilities cut off.  Wearing the same clothes to church over and over again.  Being homeless.

And now they are flying in private jets and living in homes that most would only dream of!

But there was a price that was paid for that fortune, and it wasn’t merely the check they signed over to the realtor when they bought the homes.

The very gospel that they now preach and teach is tainted with error.  It makes gods out of temporary circumstances and gets people to trust in formulas and methods and NOT in God.

Look what happens when we do that:

Romans 1:24-25

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

When we start trusting in the arm of flesh and NOT in God, then we start worshipping just that….FLESH.

When you finish reading the first chapter of Romans, you will see that the rise in sexual (and spiritual) perversion has its roots in not recognizing God as God, and NOT BEING THANKFUL.

This is the chapter that goes into the rampant homosexuality and lesbianism that is promised in these times.

And to imagine—it all began with just not being thankful!

The old song used to go like this:

“Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what the Lord has done!  Count your blessings, name them one by one….Count your many blessings!  See what the Lord has done!”

There IS a danger in NOT being thankful.

The enemy knows in these uncertain (economic) times that many will be vulnerable to fall prey to error, particularly in this area.  Falling for the prosperity message keeps one in a constant state of covetousness, all in the guise of appearing to walk in faith for the things that you don’t have…all the while you are missing the blessing of enjoying what you DO have.

God has been really, really good to America.  We need not forget that….what does the Word say?

Psalm 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

What’s In A NAME????

So what exactly IS in a name?  In particularly, a GOOD name.

We often hear of people lauding that it is necessary to protect one’s name, especially in the church and in ministry.  I have heard many a preacher preach and teach Proverbs 22:1 and Ecclesiastes 7:1 totally out of context…

Proverbs 22:1
A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

Ecclesiastes 7:1
A GOOD name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.

In both passages of scriptures, it speaks to having a good name (or reputation) in light of one’s record of their entire life, not just a few, good things accomplished in seasons of one’s life.

The Hebrew word for name used in both instances is ‘shem,’ meaning ‘name, reputation, fame.’  It can also mean ‘prosperity.’

Shem was also one of Noah’s son.

The erroneous teaching that has gone forth for years is that one is to protect their name, their reputation, what they are known for, at all costs.  In particularly, in ministry.

I have seen preachers literally attempt to kill…all to protect their name, to keep up the image of being a man of woman of God before the people.

I have heard of preachers buying off people to protect their name/reputation.

I have heard of preachers and church folks do all kinds of dastardly, wicked, sneaky, under-the-table tricks…all under the guise of protecting their name.  For making sure that their reputation is kept in tact.

I see it as an image type of thing going on.

And keeping up an image of prosperity, of success, of godliness, of holiness, of power, or whatever…at all costs…even sinning to keep up the good name, is synonymous (or just like) marketing.

Anyone who has ever worked in marketing knows, image is everything!

If your image or reputation is tarnished, then you are ruined!

So now we have preachers and church folks who hire marketers to market themselves, their ministries, their products/services, their churches, their fellowships, etc.

It is no accident that the most famous preacher in the U.S. (maybe even the world), is a megapreacher who is considered to be a brilliant marketer of his businesses.

And many preachers emulate and try to be just like him.

But I ask…WHAT’S IN A NAME?????

We have been lied to and told our name is all we got, its everything.  So we must protect it at all costs.

I say NOOO!!!!

It is NOT up to us to create (or maintain) a good name.

God promises if we do what is right IN HIS EYES, that HE will MAKE OUR NAMES GREAT.

Now the problem with this is that most people want fame, notoriety, a fantabulous reputation and what has been sold off as prosperity…IN THIS LIFE.

I want you to look at a biblical example of God making somebody’s name GREAT…yet it did not happen until after he left here!

Abraham is often called the father of many nations.  God had great plans for Abraham.  He had a covenant with Abraham.

God promised Abraham to make his name great, yet Abraham had some things going on with him….I want you to notice some things about Abraham.

Abraham didnt have a marketing team to control and manipulate his image.  Abraham didn’t have consultants that advised him to do A or B.   Abraham didn’t have to buy off anyone, neither did he have to sin to perform the will of God.

Abraham didn’t have a squeaky clean record.  Yet God still kept the promises that He did to him.

Abraham lied to not one but TWO kings (Pharaoh and Abimelech) about the identity of Sara, his wife.  He told them she was his sister instead of his wife. (Genesis 12  and 20)

Abraham had mad family strife.  In Genesis 13, Abraham and Lot had to part ways because they just couldn’t see eye to eye on things.  It got so bad that Abraham had to take one section of land and settle there and Lot had to take the exact opposite section of land…they HAD to separate in order to keep the peace. (Genesis 13)

Abraham had MANY concubines (Papa was a rolling stone!)  And MANY children by these concubines.  Hagar and Ishmael are the most popular ones we know about because they were the first.  But the Word states that Abraham had MANY concubines and subsequent children in Genesis 25 (he was a deadbeat dad!)  And he sent them ALL off-just like he did Hagar and Ishmael-when he was ‘done’ with them!

Abraham committed adultery…over and over and over again.  With Hagar (Genesis 16 & 21) and many concubines.

Abraham had incest in the family.  Lot’s daughters slept with Lot and both were impregnated by their own father. (Genesis 19)

As we can see, Abraham had a really BAD reputation.  Yet God promised him to make his name GREAT!

How can that be?  Aren’t we supposed make our own name good, since the Word says a good name is preferred over many riches?

Why would God promise an adulterer, a deadbeat dad, a whoremonger, a liar, I would say a borderline sex addict (he had to be to have that many concubines!)…why would God make ANY promises to him?  Let alone, the promise to become the father of many nations and to make his name great??????

I thought WE had control over our reputations?  I thought our marketing teams, our clever marketing and image consultants, our assortment of makeover experts, our keen and saavy know-how of how to successfully project a (religious and spiritual) image to a group of people and influence them to do whatever you desire was what made our name great????  And saved souls???

Can you see how prideful and presumptious that sounds??????

The awesome thing is that in spite of Abraham’s lapses in character, in spite of his family issues, in spite of his lack of faith and fear, God STILL made his name GREAT!

It is NOT up to US to make our names GREAT.  It is totally up to GOD!

When we do what God has told us to do, then GOD will do the rest.

STOP trying to work something up to protect your ‘image.’

When you look in the mirror, you shouldn’t see YOU anymore anyways.

You should see CHRIST IN YOU, the HOPE of GLORY!

When people see you, they should see CHRIST JESUS!!!!

What’s in a name??????

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The ONLY name worth ANYTHING in this life or the next-for ALL ETERNITY- is the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!!!!!

There is no need for ‘reputation management’ when it comes to Jesus Christ!

Philippians 2:7
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…

Even though Jesus Christ of Nazareth was God in the flesh, and was therefore equal to God (according to vs. 6), He humbled Himself and MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION!

He could have gotten the best rep EVER!  But instead, He chose to become nothing…to become a servant.  And gave His life as a ransom for many.

So where is this coming from, this trend towards have a marketing team, image consultants and the such within the so-called church????

We are to be in the image of God, not man.

Whenever we try to form an image outside of God, we are dabbling into pride, vanity and idolatry.  ALL of which is against GOD.

Let’s stop falling into the hands of the enemy by falling for the trap of trying to make a name for ourselves.

In the end times that we currently live in, there are many false christs that are risen up, and many of them have marketing teams, image consultants, makeup and makeover specialists, hairstylists, etc. on their ‘staff.’

Who in the WORLD do they think they are?????

Did you die on the cross for humanity?

Were you tortured, humiliated and persecuted before throngs of men who were supposed to worship you?

Are you sinless, guiltless and without reproach?

If not, then fire your ‘staff.’

Letting God make your name great may mean you don’t see the actual greatness of your name in your own lifetime, as Abraham did not live to see how his name would be made great.

But if you trust God and love God MORE than your image, MORE than you ambitious nature to want to ‘make it’ in THIS life, MORE than you trying to impress your ministerial fellowship, comrades and associates, MORE than trying to make the Joneses believe you got it going on, MORE THAN ANYTHING, then GOD CAN AND WILL MAKE YOUR NAME GREAT!!!!!  FOR ETERNITY…where it matters!

Discerning How Religious Demons Manifest in Relationships

There is not greater area of vulnerability in all of our lives than in the area of relationships.

Relationships, fellowship, camaraderie, companionship, sense of belonging are things that all of us desire, at times in our lives more than others.

God created relationships so that we wouldn’t be alone.  So relationships in and of themselves are not bad things.

It is when we become obsessed with being in a relationship, or when we value or even idolize relationships in our lives ABOVE our walk with God.

The enemy knows how much some people desire fellowship and relationships.  So we have to understand that THE ENEMY WILL send people into our lives who will eventually cause us harm, and attempt to thwart the plan of God for our lives.

Samson paid for his desire for relationship with his life.  Why?  Because he was not able to discern who he had around him!

Had Samson simply obeyed God from the jump, then he probably would have lived to a ripe old age, still breaking lions necks and what not, in the perfect will of God for his life.

But instead, he had to die with the enemy….for something I feel was quite stupid.  He tore down the building that those evil people were residing in, but what did that accomplish?  Did that stop idolatry in the land?  Did the Israelites turn to God after Samson took his life?

The only lasting legacy of Samson NOW is to read his story and learn what NOT to do so we won’t end up like he did!

We read the story of Samson and shake our heads.  As we should.  What a waste of a life.

And just like Samson, many believers allow relationships, alliances, associations and the such into our lives without properly discerning that they are sent from the enemy.  We marry them.  We have kids with them.  We start ministries with them.  Or businesses.

Here are some signs that the person you are in a relationship with is a religious demon in disguise, waiting for the opportunity to pounce!

1)  They just won’t leave you alone!

We all have had church people in our lives who simply WON’T leave us alone.  When you come out of church, they are always snooping, calling, texting, dropping by, asking you when will you be back.  Even after you have calmly explained to them you won’t be back, they persist.  It’s almost as bad as stalking!  If you cannot get rid of this person, they are a religious demon.

2)  They hurt you time and time again, unrepentedly.

We all have these people in our lives (and I’m talking about church folks) who consistently backstab us.  But we, out of some pious sense of duty, keep these harmful, toxic people in our lives, thinking we are showing them the love of God and being forgiving by allowing them continued access into our lives.  When all we are really doing is allowing them to harm or abuse us…again!  Forgiveness does NOT mean that an unrepentant, undelivered person with a religious demon should be allowed unlimited access into our lives.  Those are harmful people who we need to RUN from!

3)  I want to expound on the UNREPENTED part…

Listen, everyone will let us down.  No one is perfect.  True.  A friend or loved one will hurt us.  Then say they are sorry.  Repent.  But then they do it AGAIN!  If they do it AGAIN, then that means they REALLY didn’t repent to begin with.  Time to cut them loose….

4)  They are always needing YOU to save them…

Some religious people will plant themselves into your life.  How?  They will always be in crisis, and they will seek you out to rescue them.  They will use flattery to win back your affections after the initial separation;  they will attest to your beauty, your talent, your power, your ‘anointing and how you are so needed back in their lives, their ministry, how much they miss you.

Couple that with lies the enemy will plant in your spirit, and false guilt about any trials/judgments/plagues they may be going through…the enemy will lie to you and make it seem like you need to reconcile with this person or group of people to ‘minister’ to them.  And then you eventually have a recipe for disaster!   The lure to ‘reconcile’ with people God has formerly separated you from is disobedience and partaking of another’s sins.

When you start meddling in the affairs of God, assuming that you are ‘called’ to help a person or group of people escape the judgment of God, or if you get in God’s way trying to ‘save a people God has judged or who are suffering from plagues, then YOU will suffer right along with the very people the enemy has deceived you into thinking you are called to save!

It’s best if God separates you from someone(s), to STAY away from them and do not allow them access back into your life (of course, unless God says its ok)

5) Understand….

If God has pronounced judgment on someone, or a group of people, or they were disobedient and are suffering from plagues-God-sent-then there is nothing you can do to stop that.  But pray.

I have been in situations where a person, or a group of people, God called me to separate from (I would hear) would invariably be going through a hard time, suffering, etc. He knows if we ever had any feelings of affection or love for these people, that when we hear word of their suffering, we would not rejoice over it, but would be actually quite grieved.  And we may even try to alleviate any suffering.

We cannot go gettin in God’s business!

If God has allotted suffering, judgment or a plague, and God tells us to GO so we are not partakers of any of it, then no matter how attached we are, we have to cut them off!

6)  They demand unquestioned loyalty to their relationship.

If someone demands loyalty to them at all costs, or refuses to be confronted about questionable behavior, then they have a religious demon….and you need to RUN!  Church leaders, in particular, are guilty of doing this, which enables them to do all kinds of things and never be confronted about said things.  God will always send someone in our lives to check us….a Nathan to David, a Samuel to Saul, a Paul to Peter….if they can’t be ‘checked,’ like I said….RUNNNN!!!!

We need to understand that the religious demon can and will manifest in the people, most of the time, who are closest to you.  And a lot of people do not understand the danger of fellowshipping with religious demons!

The people God tells us to cut off, He tells us cut off for a reason.   We may not know the reason, but we have to trust God enough to obey Him.  He can see the danger ahead of us if we stay with a person.  He sees the end from the beginning.

If you are experiencing difficulty breaking away from something (or someone) GOD said to cut off, please call 518-477-5759.

Filed under deception, demons and devils, religious demon

By Pamela Sheppard

” Many readers and visitors to will be shocked to hear a minister of 30 years write that for most of you, it is best that you not attend church in your local community. I served as a pastor for about 15 of the 27 years both denominational and nondenominational service. Today, I personally believe that a person can grow spiritually without regularly attending an organized church. Most definitely, you should assemble with the saints, but the word of God does not lay out a detailed order of service, nor does it suggest the day you should assemble, the time or even the nature of the place or building where gathering together should take place. We live in a computerized world, where we can “assemble” 24/7.

Simply put, I truly believe that the organized church as it now stands will be completely revamped by the Lord. Why? Because quite frankly, the traditional structures are not working. When I wrote 3 of my 6 books, I was hopeful that repentance would bring about reformation and renewal to the organized church. However, the love of money, which is the root of ALL evil, has permeated most of the church and I seriously doubt if the Lord is going to allow it to continue to exist in its present state. Judgement is HERE (for the organized church) and I shudder at what is happening to church and to churchgoers. In the meantime, for those of you who feel that you need to assemble in an organized church, the following comments are provided for you to assist you in your pursuit to find a church.

The following excerpt is taken from one of the chapters in “Faces of the Religious Demon.” If after you read this you would like to obtain either the ebook or the softcover, click here. In truth, I do not believe that Jesus intended for any one who follows Him to lower their spiritual guard by relying on others to watch on his behalf. Just as we don’t need a weather man to tell us that spring is coming, we also don’t need people to complicate the obvious. Case in point. If the Anti-Christ is actually a human being, then it is clear to me that he shall come forth out of Christianity for a very simple reason. Satan has had a seat in the organized church for centuries. There is no better place for the devil to conceal, prepare and empower his son of evil and destruction than within a worldly Christian system.

The word of God clearly testifies not only to the fact that demons were operating during the Lord’s earthly ministry, but that renewed demonic activity will manifest in the latter days. (I Timothy Ch:4:1-4) Paul’s warning to Timothy does not merely relate to new manifestations of evil in the world but to an ever-increasing apostasy in the professing church, a cult promoted by seducing spirits of a highly sensitive spirituality. In spite of this infiltration by demons into the organized church, I still believe there is a remnant of believers within the system that GOD HIMSELF is calling out.  However, the organized church is an institution created by man, not even described or promoted by the Word of God:

“…Realize that being part of a group that calls itself a “church” does not make you saved, holy, righteous, or godly any more than being in Yankee Stadium makes you a professional baseball player. Participating in church-based activities does not necessarily draw you closer to God or prepare you for a life that satisfies Him or enhances your existence….Sadly, many people will label this view ‘blasphemy.’. However, you should realize that the Bible neither describes nor promotes the local church as we know it today. Many centuries ago, religious leaders created the prevalent form of ‘church’ that is so widespread in our society to help people be better followers of Christ. But the local church many have come to cherish—the services, offices, programs, buildings, ceremonies—is neither biblical nor unbiblical. It is a-biblical— that is, such an organization is not addressed in the Bible.” (Revolution, pg. 37) 5

Therefore, since the church model of modern times is neither promoted nor discredited in the Word of God, I believe that it’s viability should be determined by some very wise and practical applications:

1. In terms of its structure, is it an episcopal denomination or an independent body? Quite frankly, if it is a connected church, then even though it may be uncorrupted at the local level, linked to an ungodly authority or “Mother Church” (headquarters, diocese, fellowships, and the such) will eventually spoil or damage the spiritual fruits throughout the entire system. By nature of its organization, a religious demon will have a seat in high places. The complicated, political form of an episcopal church with a connected governing body should be avoided primarily due to its structure. Consequently, its bishops and leaders will be prone to cover-ups, particularly where improprieties and outright sin may be involved among its various charges. In my second book, I describe this dilemma:

“A Bishop’s power lies in his ability to appoint a pastor and fill a pulpit. Since pastors in full-time ministry are totally dependent each year upon whether or not the Bishop chooses to favor them with an appointment to a church that will be lucrative enough to continue to provide for themselves and their families, a conflict of interest automatically inherent within the Episcopal form of church government will ultimately manifest.” (The Making of A Prophet, pg. 84) 6

Dealing with sin in such a structure is like trying to eliminate roaches from a city block where all of the buildings are erected side by side and are therefore “connected”. If you bomb one apartment with a pesticide, or even exterminate an entire building, the roaches will simply run upstairs, downstairs or to the building next door. Regardless of how clean you keep your apartment, you will not be able to contain the roaches, especially after dark. Just go in the kitchen and turn on your lights and hundreds of them will be flying around as if they had wings!!! Every connected building has to be bombed from one corner to the other on the entire street, or the roaches will soon return.

So is the fate of the connected churches. The leaven of the Pharisees is impossible to contain without a complete annihilation.

2.  Where an independent church is concerned, the issue is not so much its structure but whether or not it has a system in place to avoid spiritual neglect or abuse. Within a small assembly or a mega church, every sheep in that church should have someone who personally knows him and who ministers to his personal needs. If members are compelled to go outside of their local church to receive competent counseling, deliverance, healing and recovery, then I suspect that the primary benefit experienced in church is merely a soothing of their flesh as a byproduct of the worship experience of song and praise. Moreover, congregations of this kind provide a social environment for family members. In my opinion, social contacts with Christians can be obtained at a Christian concert and family activities are available at the local YMCA. If your spiritual needs are not being met at your local church, then you are just involved in a social club and your local church has no real spiritual value. Recently I learned that state of the art children’s ministry programs can become traps due to the fact that the parents won’t leave a church even when they realize that the basic core of the church is corrupt. The pressures for dissatisfied parents to remain are exerted by the social and entertainment needs of their children.

3.  The independent churches that can be very dangerous include those that call themselves “deliverance churches.” In some of these assemblies, the religious demon and the witchcraft spirit are running rampant with counterfeits in worship, doctrine, prayer and other strange practices including a heavy emphasis on being slain in the spirit.

“A demonstration of real power is not falling slain. We see a lot of this phenomena in the ministries of TV evangelists, particularly in the Pentecostal and non-denominational churches. Demonstration of God’s power would be after you have fallen out in the spirit, what condition were you in when you got to your feet?!!! Where you healed? Were you delivered? Did God speak to you a word in due season concerning a special problem you have been challenged with? Or did you just pass out because everybody else was passing out!? ( The Making of a Prophet, pg. 199) 7

4. I agree with Dr. Rebecca Brown’s warning concerning various counterfeits manifested through the speaking in other tongues, primarily among word of faith, pentecostal and Charismatic Catholic churches:

“Christians have made the terrible mistake of assuming that ALL tongues are from God. How wrong they are!…It is well-known that many occultic rituals are done in tongues….The fact that Catholics speak in tongues is not proof that they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Too many of these precious Catholic souls assume that because they are speaking in tongues, they are saved. How can the Holy Spirit be operative and manifesting in a system of idolatry? Those involved in the Catholic Charismatic movement who really start reading and studying the Bible soon realize they must separate themselves from the idolatrous Roman Catholic Church if they are going to serve the true Jesus of the Bible.” (Prepare for War, pgs. 182,183) 8

5.  However, the crucial factors of your assessment of a local church actually relate to the security of your eternal life, which is truly where the rubber meets the road. Why go to church if, in the final analysis, you do not escape damnation by traveling the narrow way to eternal life? Assuredly, you should examine how and with what regularity the doctrines of repentance, resurrection and rebirth are being preached and taught? A church with a Jezebel influence will minimize or overlook the importance of these “3 R’s” through excessive tradition, polity and other less important priorities of doctrine.

6.  If a local church minimizes the need to learn the devices of the devil or does not even recognize the existence and the workings of demonic forces in these times, then it is in a low condition of spiritual life and power. I believe that such a church should be avoided like the plague. In fact, such ignorance on the part of a congregation’s leadership is an indication to demons of the leaders’ accommodation to them through fear, an open door to demonic influence. According to Jessie Penn-Lewis:

“A perspective view of the ages covered by the history in Bible records, shows that the rise and fall in spiritual power of the people of God, was marked by the recognition of the existence of the demoniacal host of evil. When the Church of God in the old and new dispensations was at the highest point of spiritual power, the leaders recognized, and drastically dealt with, the invisible forces of Satan and when at the lowest, they were ignored, or allowed to have free course, among the people.” (War on the Saints, 9th edition, pg.27)

Consequently, if there is no emphasis in the local church on spiritual warfare and deliverance, that church is without spiritual power.

7.  The emphasis upon the Word of God in a church should and could be a good sign; Nevertheless, it is misleading and immaterial to base your assessment of a church solely upon evidence that all its members carry bibles, yellow markers and recite scriptures. For when leadership does not rightly divide the word, then heresies posing as revelation truths give place to the doctrines of devils that Paul warned Timothy about (I Timothy 4:1): the prosperity gospel, dominion teaching, “name it and claim it”, pre-tribulation rapture, submission to authority, eternal security, no ordination for women, and other doctrines too numerous to mention even in one book.

False doctrines of this kind are skillfully birthed by teaching demons to deceive and exploit the people. If the devil had nerve enough to get “religious” by reciting scripture out of its context to tempt the Lord Jesus Himself, then he has trained his demonic army to do likewise to us. (Matthew 4:1-11)

“Out of context” preaching tends to draw those who have not truly repented nor been converted, but who are enticed to come to church by the excitement that scriptural hype can produce. Such preaching and teaching draws people, places and things to the building—those who seek blessings to get their needs met or to fulfill their dreams—but they have not really been drawn to Christ.

8.  A church after the Lord’s heart is the church of Philadelphia: those who do not deny His name and who have kept His word.(Revelation 3:7-13) This is a church that will not compromise the truth, either for the favor of the world or for unity with other churches. Since we all see through a glass darkly, a good pastor is one who continually examines if he is rightly dividing the word. When errors and contradictions are uncovered, then a good pastor openly and publicly admits to his or her mistakes, correcting any inaccurate teachings without hesitation. The Lord declared that the church of Philadelphia was of little strength, so it is clear that His assessment was not based upon numbers of members, wealth or resources. I believe that a major part of keeping His word is to go forth and cast out demons. A good church is about building people so that they can confront the demonic influences to expel the darkness in their own environment, equipping the sheep to be living stones, holy vessels for the Spirit of the Lord to dwell in.

UPDATE:  (9/22/11) I’ve come a long way since I wrote this article. In this hour, I believe that all churches have become dwelling places of demons for one primary reason. They all teach that man chooses God by a decision of his or her own free will, by saying:  “I accept Jesus” and by asking Him to “come into my heart.” Jesus is at the right hand of the Father. The Holy Ghost comes into the human spirit and not the heart. The heart is a function of the fallen soul of man and it is desperately wicked, and as such, has no capability of choosing God without the ministry of the Holy Ghost.

But even so, there is a refuge for you if you, too, have recognized and seen the organized church system is stock full of demons.

If you have seen it, too.  And if you are looking for mentoring, for counseling, for deliverance and healing, please call  518-477-5759.

Your Next Preaching ‘Gig’ May Be a Set Up from the enemy…

This sounded innocent enough:  church folks were on an annual missionary trip to the Holy Land on Friday.

Since filming the above video, the hostages have since been released.

To read more on the story, read here:,0&wpisrc=root_more_news

As you remember, in 2011, Egypt was the home of riots, bedlam, and chaos.

I titled this ‘Your Next Preaching ‘Gig’ May Be a Set Up from the enemy…’ because back in 2010, I was given an invitation to come out to Egypt to preach and fellowship with a group of ‘believers.’  They were going to let me stay in their home (the pastor and wife) and it was supposed to be more of a revival than a one or two night thing.

I never felt easy in my spirit, neither did I believe God wanted me to go to Egypt.  (Anyone who knows me knows I am not a fearful person and love to opportunity to travel and go to other countries.)

I can openly say that the pastor who invited me there was almost pressuring me, insisting that my coming to Egypt was ‘the will of God’ and ‘my destiny.’

I never got that witness in MY spirit.

So I told them NO.

I mean when you really think about it, its quite amazing.

A pastor and congregants go on your run-of-the-mill Holy Land Tour and are kidnapped.  It has been learned that in Egypt, there has been a rise of kidnappings of tourists and visitors there since the riots.

And then there were the riots themselves…

Its all water under the bridge now.  And I now know that had I been driven by ambition and a lust to be behind a pulpit, or to have a preaching revival in Egypt on my ministerial ‘resume,’ that I may not be here today.

I recognize that that whole trip was a set up from the enemy!

What would have happened had I went to Egypt????

The religious demon had a trap set up for me, for sure!

Now, somebody is saying, ‘Oh, no!  You shouldn’t look at it like that.  God may have wanted to use you over there. ‘

That is a lie.

I share this with you all to try and help someone.

You have been seeking ‘promotion,’ ‘acceptance,’ and looking for opportunity forever.  And many so called ‘opportunities’ have presented themselves to you.

You don’t know if its God or the enemy.

I am here to tell you…the enemy WILL send you opportunities…YES, EVEN PREACHING, SINGING, and MINISTERIAL opportunities!

IT IS A SET UP!!!!!!

Black Christians Need to Beware of Cult…Part 2

Continued from Part 1; Chacteristics of the Black Hebrew Israelite Movement

5) Stresses Judaism and Hebrew culture and beliefs, even if they go against proper context of the scripture

Here is one of the slickest tricks of this movement.  Judaism and their correlating practices are very strict, adherent to the law.  They not only practice the law but push others to celebrate the celebrating of holy days and feasts.  They use the excuse that what are known as holidays in this country were set in place by the Roman Catholic order to replace the ‘holy days,’ including the Feast of Tabernacles, the Passover, the Feast of Trumpets and Unleavened Bread.

They also cite the inconsistencies, the corruption, the deception and the gross error of the institutional ‘christian’ church as yet another reason why one should celebrate holy days and feasts…and not the holidays of modern-day.

And even though they are very adherent to the feast schedule of their Hebrew calendar (they don’t recognize the modern-day Gregorian calendar year with 12 months and so on), one can still see the corruption, the deception, the hatred and the error in the BHI movement.

I have known some BHI believers that have gone as far as to say it is sinful not to celebrate or recognize holy days, which goes in direct contradiction of the scripture that says:

Romans 14:5-6

One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.

Which leads me to the next characteristic of BHIers…

6)  BHIers tend to have strict dietary laws, and pushes their strict dietary laws onto others.

It is funny that BHIers push celebrating feasts, which is modernly known as a buffet-style type of event where one can eat to their heart’s content, but will simultaneously push a doctrine that strictly prohibits one dietary intake, based upon the strict dietary laws of Judiasm.  They don’t believe in eating pork, or any shellfish or fish that feeds on fish that feed off of the groundfloor of any body of water, including shrimps, crabs and lobsters.  They view these and other things as ‘unclean.’

Many BHIers are strict vegans, while others are at best moderate vegans, who splurge every now and then to some form of meat or protein.

When you are around a BHIer, and you are eating pork, or any other thing they deem as unclean, they will rebuke you.  Or they will try to teach you, sometimes while sitting right at the table while you are trying to enjoy a meal!  They will try to teach you how what you are eating is wrong, its unclean and how you should change your eating habits.

Now, on the surface, this sounds innocent enough, even health-conscious.

But let’s go to the scripture, and not rely on what modern-day culture has to say about this.

Above Paul said if a mans eats, its unto the Lord.  And if he doesn’t eat a thing, that is unto the Lord as well.

The Judaizers (much like the BHIers) would like to relegate that the Kingdom of God boils down to what one eats or drinks, and this simply is NOT true.

In verse 17, it states:

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

BHIers would make one think that partaking of certain foods is sin…when the Word says:

For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eats with offence.

BHIers are stuck in the levitical order, and in Judaism, that entraps people in a whole bunch of rules and regulations and still judge after the flesh.  They judge after human flesh, animal flesh, fish ‘flesh,’ etc., and therefore cannot accept or receive the fact that the levitical order is DEAD, OUT OF ORDER, done away with.  Everything that was instituted within that levitical order is no longer necessary in the KINGDOM OF GOD.

As a matter of fact, according to scripture, it is a doctrine of devils to push dietary laws and lifestyles on people with claims that by somehow restricting your diet will somehow bring you closer to God.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and KNOW the truth.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Now am I saying all who are practicing vegetarians are practicing a doctrine of devils?  Of course not.

What I am saying is that if you PUSH this as a doctrine, if you make claims that by restricting one’s diet that that somehow gives you a closer connection to God, or power with God, then you may be embracing/teaching a doctrine of devils!

If you choose to live that way, I say do YOU.  Just don’t push it on others.   All that God made IS good..not WAS good.  The Word says to refuse NOTHING, as long you it is received with THANKSGIVING.  That’s SCRIPTURE!

Whatever perceived ‘uncleanness’ in the food -according to the WORD-is set apart, taken away, by PRAYER and THANKSGIVING.

Our grandparents and great grandparents didn’t have access to the healthiest of foods, organic foods, or lived a vegetarian lifestyle.  Yet they outlived us.  Many cite it was because the lifestyle was not as stressful, but I vehemently disagree with that!

You wont convince me that living in slavery days and even post slavery, in an America that was violently racist, was NOT stressful!

A little history lesson, then I am moving on:

Blacks didn’t have access to the healthy stuff.  We were given scraps, the leftovers from whatever the slaveowners and their families did not want on their tables.  The chitterlings, the hammocks, the pigs feet.

This was during and post slavery.

Yet I still maintain blacks outlived us.

It wasnt because of their diets. It was because whatever they had to eat on their tables, they received it WITH THANKSGIVING!

They sanctified those ‘unclean’ meals with prayer.

THAT’S how I believe our ancestors outlived us.  THATS how I believe our ancestors could live with 1000 times more stress than any of us today has ever had to deal with, yet they lived for many, many years.

But that’s another blog, for another day…

7)  BHIers believe that the Black Hebrew is going to literally return to Israel before Jesus Christ of Nazareth returns.

BHIers believe that black people are the chosen ones,  that blacks are direct descendents of the tribe of Judah, the Israelities.

The most popular celebrities to embrace this movement (much to their demise) was the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

Back in 2003, on their own spiritual journey, Bobby and Whitney made the trek back to Israel.  The media was not allowed to cover much of what went on there, but it is reported that Whitney was ‘re-baptized’ in the Jordan River by Black Hebrew Israelites.  Houston reportedly made claims that going back to Israel-which she called her ‘home’-healed her then troubled marriage to Brown and restored her waiving faith in God, as well as helped her overcome her drug addiction (which she died of earlier this year).

With all due respects to Houston and her family, one can’t help but honestly look at all of this and conclude that that trek back to what was perceived as Houston’s ‘Hebraic roots’ did nothing to help her with her struggles.

Upon her death earlier this year, many BHIers in Israel mourned her death, viewing Houston as some sort of icon. They stated Houston believed her time in Israel was some sort of spiritual retreat.

As a matter of fact, it may have served to only hurt her…

This is what error does.   It misleads and gives false hope.

When one does not know their GODLY heritage, they are forced to replace it with a lie.  Which is a satanic heritage!

Many BHIers erroneously believe they are supposed to make a trek back to Israel….

8)  BHIers replace names God with ‘Yahweh’ and Jesus Christ with ‘Yeshua’ in the Bible.

There is actually a bible that replaces every instance of God and Jesus with the Hebrew terms available to anyone who decides to follow the doctrine of the BHI.  There has been much debate over this issue.  And all I will say is this:  it seems innocent enough that BHIers would want to use the terminology that is modernly translated as God and Jesus Christ.  The problem lies in the fact that in doing so, they have unbeknownst to themselves replaced God for another god.  A god that they can accept as their God and not one that they believe was forced upon them by ‘the white man’s religion.’

While on the surface, this seems like just an over-appreciation for one’s roots and heritage, underneath is something much more sinister and deceptive taking place.

The enemy knows that there is salvation in NO OTHER NAME, so he has forever been trying to blurry the name of our saviour in the ears of believers.  He has made many to believe that the integrity and authenticity of the scriptures have been tainted so much so by what they call ‘the white man’s religion’ that now GOD needs man to keep up the integrity of HIS WORD.

When man attempts to do this of his own strength and volition, it no longer is of faith that we are saved, but then of works.

I would beware of anyone who has hopped on the Yahweh/Yeshua train in the guise of being on a spiritual journey.  Most are on this train really not knowing of its destination, or its origins.

They just recognize it as trendy.  They see others embracing things, teachings, using certain cliches and terminologies, and never bother to question or research to find out why it is they believe what they believe or practice what they practice.

Black Christians Need to Beware of Cult…Part 1

You all have heard of the Black Hebrew Israelites.  We all have.  Who are they, and where did they originate?

Well, innocently enough, this movement was borne out of a desire to know a race or culture of one’s own identity.  In the midst of racism and slavery, an entire race of people sought to seek out their heritage, which is in and of itself not a crime neither a sin.

The following is an excerpt from a popular Black Hebrew Israelite website:

“In scripture the children of Israel are prophesy to lose the knowledge of who they really are. This is also part of our punishment, for disobeying the most high. If a people lose the knowledge of who they are, they have lost the knowledge of their Nationality, History and Heritage. A people without a History is a people that doesn’t exist.

Since coming to the United States, we have been called by many different names in reference to our nationality.

We are the only group in this country that this has happen to. Presently we are Known as African-Americans, from Afro Americans, from Negroes, before that we were Colored and so on. This is madness…

This very thing has happen to us here in North America, we are the only people who were not allowed to practice our original culture, etc. upon our arrival. This is one of the main reasons why we don’t know who we really are today. …”

In verse 3 of Psalm 83 Israel is referred to as the ‘HIDDEN’ ones. Hidden means secret, and this is why the truth that I am presenting to you today is called ‘The World Best Kept Secret’, it’s a secret about the identity of true Israel. But at the same time this verse says that our enemies consulted to take away our nationality/ identity….”

The Black Hebrew Israelite can be those who simply desire to get closer to God and believe doing so means embracing what they call their ‘hebraic roots’- and using scripture to do so-to the radical, in-your-face street preacher-who consider themselves prophets-who hurl insults and hate language at passerbys all day long on the street corner of any urban area.  And everything and everyone in between.

Marcus Garvey is one of the earliest examples of one who considered himself a direct descendant of Israel, or one of the chosen people described in the Word of God.  He was one of the first leaders who embraced and taught Back-to-Africa movements (better known as Black Nationalism).  He was from Jamaica and had a major impact on modern-day religion that was geared towards black racial pride, ranging from the Nation of Islam to the Rastafarian religion.

Not to say that this cult (which is what they are) was borne simply at the turn of last century, post slavery.  There have been many cultures (mostly Jewish) that embraced and followed a Judaic (or of the law, strictly of the Old Testament) brand of worship and ministry.  Judaism is still practiced in many countries to this day.

Even though we are at the end of the church age-and scripture itself even prophesied it-there are still people who have had a really difficult time cutting ties with religion, temple worship, Judaism, and levitical priesthood.

John 4:19-21, 23-26

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

There has been a movement in the past 20 years or so of ‘Black Hebrew Israelites’ to go back to Israel, instead of Africa, as introduced by Garvey.  And as recent as 2010, Israel has accepted black hebrews into their  land, recognizing them as harmless and peace-abiding.

But as with all belief systems, there are dangerous, cult-like, even criminal offshoots of this movement, that targets African-Americans disgruntled with society, with the organized church system, with their lack of knowledge of their own heritage and history. So they use that as ‘bait’ to catch many an unsuspecting seeker of truth to be recruited amongst their ranks.

The people who are most susceptible to being recruited into this cult range anywhere from the harmless preachers disgruntled with the organized Christian church to murderers and child abusers who reign out of fear and violence over their followers.

They seek out and disciple black men, in particular.

Many mistake the BHI for the Nation of Islam, but the BHI vehemently dismisses that the Honorable Elijah Mohammed is their saviour, as the Nation of Islam believes.

The BHI do believe in Jesus, a false Jesus, nonetheless.  They call him Yeshua, who is only another mask of Jesus Immanuel Sannanda.

And they call God, Yah, Yahweh, or Abba.

A lot of people see the BHI as harmless to be ignored.  I beg to differ.

This is a dangerous cult, one that has several ‘communities’ dispersed throughout this country, much like the Amish ones.  Except that within their communities and compounds, it is anything but peace-loving or law-abiding!

Some of the BHI are criminals, and have even committed murder…as well as attempted murder.

In a case that shocked the nation, BHI cult leader Peter Moses of Durham, N.C., was convicted of murdering two people, including a 5-year-old boy who he thought was gay in 2010.

This was the most well-known criminal case within a BHI community to date.

But do believe that-just like there is abuse, rape, incest and even murder within the so-called institutional church system-that the same injustices, crimes, abuse, persecution, deception and corruption that is publicized and sometimes overemphasized in the media goes on within the Black Hebrew Israelite community!

We just don’t hear about it.  Why?

Many BHI fellowships are underground entities, believing that the current societal, religious and governmental systems in place in this country are in a conspiracy, of sorts, against their existence.

This is the reason for the rise in BHI communities, fellowships and organizations throughout the United States.

The Black Hebrew Israelites hold to certain belief systems, in addition to traditional Judaistic doctrines, including:

1) Tracing their geneology back to the 12 tribes of Israel

They believe that most of the minority races existing today can be traced back to the original tribes of Israel.

Ruben = Seminole Indians (Muskogee).
Simeon = Dominicans of Hispanola.
Levi = Haitians.
Judah = African-Americans.
Dan = Cubans.
Naphtali = Argentineans & Chileans.
Gad = Native Americans.
Asher = Incas.
Issachar = Aztec Indians and other Mexicans.
Zebulon = Mayan Indians and other inhabitants of countries from Guatemala to Panama.
Ephraim & Manasseh = Taino & Boriqua Indians and other Puerto Ricans
Benjamin = Carribe, Cibao, Arrowack, and other inhabitants of Guyana and the West Indies.

2) BHI believe that Israel taken into Egyptian and Babylonian captivity in the Word of God was prophetic of the blacks being taken into slavery in this country.  They believe that all the curses in Deuteronomy 28 were meant for the African-American peoples.

3) BHI are either overtly or covertly oppressive of women (and children) in their community.

Speaking as a woman who was engaged to a BHI-as well as having seen the treatment (or should I say mistreatment) of the women and children within this community, I can attest to the fact that the men within this cult system are not only oppressive of ‘their women,’ but that they outright abuse them.  Much like what went on with Jim Jones’ Peoples’ Temple and their movement in Guyana, women and children are viewed as property.  The trick is that they do not show their true colors right away when trapping unsuspecting women into their cults.  They start out wining and dining them.  Calling them sisters and queens, or ‘achoti’ or ‘malcah’ in hebrew.

They seek out strong women are some even practice polygamy.  They will ‘marry’ more than one woman; some men (who call themselves ‘apostles’ or ‘shalachs’ within the BHI) have been known to marry as many as 5 or 6 women in different states, to set up ‘ministry’ in that state..or just another shootoff of their BHI belief systems.

Many of these men will let a woman head up the ministry in a particular region, while he goes off and marries another woman in another state in hopes of developing a franchise (if you will) of BHI settlements throughout the country.

But within the system, many women are beat, raped, and attacked often when they do not comply or ‘submit’ to the so-called leadership of their ‘husband’ or ‘leader.’

Much like what happened with Jim Jones…

I have even heard of BHI communities where the child labor laws are ignored and children are put to work in fields-in THIS country-to support these cults.

And the sad part is that many women who have been caught up in the web of deceit and lies are afraid or too ashamed to come out of it, so they stay and subject themselves AND their children to abuse, neglect, spiritual exploitation and a host of other injustices within the BHI.

4)  Those entrapped within the BHI will push racial pride-even to the point of putting down other races.

BHIers are very racially conscious.  Now, there is nothing wrong with embracing one’s culture, neither of being accepting of who you are.  Some BHI congregations don’t allow ppl other races into their services!  But you venture off into sin when you start idolizing your culture, your race, your ethnicity…and NOT worshipping JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH.  OR trying to conform Jesus Christ into an image that you can more readily accept, in other words, conforming HIM to please YOUR flesh, instead of KILLING YOUR FLESH, dying to who you are or you THINK you are-or who you believe YOU WERE, and conforming to the Image of Jesus Christ clearly spelled out in the Word of God.

What BHIers have done is allowed a religious demon to make them believe a lie, or make them so focused on race, on sex (or the flesh), and if Jesus was a black man or not, if the Israelites were black, or hispanic, or cuban, or whatever…that they have FORGOTTEN what the scripture says that there is neither male NOR female, Greek or Jew, nor bond OR free…in Galatians 3:28!

Now, I want to stop right there!

Do you know what that means to me????

YES, let’s go there.  YES, slavery happened.  CAPTIVITY happened.  I LOVE THE WORD OF GOD because you see GOD foresaw that man would harp on the injustices they suffered, one of them being slavery, captivity.   Just like BHIers harp on slavery, some Jews hard on being in captivity, etc., GOD said ONCE YOU PUT ON CHRIST JESUS, YOU ARE NO LONGER YOUR HISTORY!!!!!!!

We all have a past.  We all come with baggage.  But Christ said HIS YOKE IS EASY, HIS BURDEN IS LIGHT!  So LIGHT PACKING is what is needed for this journey!!!!

I’m not saying you wont remember what you have been through.  I am saying when you have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb, it wont hurt anymore!

And when you share your testimony, that anger is not there.  That bitterness, that rage…so prevalent within the speech, the demeanor, the delivery of BHIer preachers, SIMPLY IS NOT THERE!

The enemy’s job is to keep you stuck in your past.

If you are NOT aware of that, then the enemy has done his job in stealing your identity.  And once the enemy can steal your identity, he can then replace it with his identity, his lies.

And that is exactly what he has done with this BHI movement!

Know your history.  Remember and share your testimony, as the Spirit of God leads you to.

But it shouldn’t sting when you do.  If it does, you have not been healed…

Stay tuned for Part 2

The Trap of Loneliness

We have all been there.

At a place where we are alone.  Circumstances in life has made it so where you are in a lonely place.  Loneliness can happen whether you are by yourself or in a room full of people.

If you are a part of a local church, you may find yourself feeling lonely.  A lot.  You may attend faithfully.  You are there every time the doors of the church open.

Yet you feel like you are the only one there.  No one understands where you are.

You hear from God, and what He is saying.  And it is NOT what the majority, or even your pastor or leader is saying.

And now you are filled with guilt and fear, because someone has told you you should not feel that way. Or you should not entertain ANY voice that is in direct opposition to your pastor’s.

I want you to know ONE thing…

So now what do you do?  You are alone, lonely.  No one understands.  And God is calling you to another place in Him.

I want to share something with you…

A lot of times, God will call you away to speak to you.  He is not in the crowd, but the still small voice.

And on the mountaintop where you CAN hear that still small voice is a very LONELY place.

But if you love God more than you love people, He will fill that void.  He will direct your path.  He will give you instruction on what to do.

And sometimes-most times-God uses pain to shake us out of our place of familiarity.  He doesn’t want us getting too comfortable ANYWHERE.  And He doesn’t want  us getting too familiar with many PEOPLE.

When Jesus Christ of Nazareth went up to the Mount of Configuration, He only took two people with Him.

I entitled this the TRAP of loneliness because what the enemy does is get people entrapped into relationships and alliances with people who have a crafty veneer like they are sent from God.  They come packaged just like you like them.  It doesnt just have to be in a man/woman relationship.  Sometimes even friends we seek out end up being potentially hazardous to our spiritual health.

Sometimes, it is family.  We will hang out with people who carry more demons than the demoniac did in the Word of God, just so we wont be lonely.

Wanting companionship, fellowship, relationship are all healthy things GOD created.  They ARE good.

But what many fail to realize is that whatever God has, the enemy imitates!

So the enemy will send friends, mates, associates, people, etc. so he can use their vessels to eventually cause you harm!

No, it won’t be apparent at first why they are there.  But as time moves on, the religious demon starts to manifest itself through the vessels of people who we’ve developed relationships with.

The Trap of Loneliness.

If God is sending you to a lonely place, trust Him that He has everything in control and HE will direct your paths.

We have to be careful in these end times who we associate with…VERY CAREFUL!

Many of you know my stance about coming out of the church.  I still hold to that.

But I am here to tell you that the enemy is after you…and religious demons do NOT just manifest inside the church walls!

It was religious demons that flew those planes into the Twin Towers!

It was religious demons that started the war Obama ended!

It was religious demons that have caused some of the greatest conflicts in history!

And, bringing it down to where you live, religious demons are packed to capacity…here on social networks.  In various ‘come-out-of-the-church’ ministries, I have found that these are nothing more than disgruntled, angry, bitter people who are looking for a place to vent their angers, but have little or NO desire to (continue) to grow in the things of God.

When transitioning from the church setting, a lot of these places are the WORST place a person leaving the institutional church can go!

Behind the laughs, the laxing, the ‘we-dont-have-to-abide-by-church-rules’ anymore mindset is something sinister and demonic, very subtle.

It is the RELIGIOUS DEMON that is wanting you to renounce your faith in God due to all the church hurts and your understandable disappointment over the misgivings of the institutional church.

A person coming out of the I.C. needs healing, mentorship, encouragement, spiritual edification…even moreso than what is received within the church system.

I am telling you to BEWARE of these groups that promote coming out of the church, yet they do NOTHING to promote you spiritually, emotionally, mentally.  They only encourage you to be carnal, to sin, and to give excuse to be in the flesh.

You need a group of certified ministers who have ALL PROPERLY gone through the church exodus, who have left the church completely, and who can help YOU leave the church with the least amount of trauma, or spiritual regression.  Who can help you in your walk with God to HEAL..properly.

If a wound is not healed properly, if a broken limb is not healed PROPERLY, you can walk around with a limp, a bruise, an infection, for a long time, that may even cause unnecessary pain.

We can help you heal spiritually PROPERLY if you have left, or are leaving, the church.  We have all been there, done that.

If you need a SAFE PLACE to heal, to be mentored, to grow, to be counseled, or even to be trained…give us a call 518-477-5759 .

I Was Set Up to Be A Signs and Wonders Seeker

Read this former pastor’s account of her experience as a minister in the church system:

“I started out for 33 years of life an atheist.  Once I had a ‘Damascus Road” type of experience with the Lord, I was sold out for Him.  And it was two years—1979–before I attended any church.  I went because I had 3 consecutive dreams of a local pastor, and all 3 dreams urged me to find this man, the late Rev. Lester.  (not his real name.) Not once in more than 25 years did I ever consider that it was NOT God who sent me those dreams.  I didn’t find out until AFTER I had finished my 4th book, “the Fake Jesus: Fallen Angels Among Us.”  How did I find out?  The Lord spoke to me and  quietly  said, “I did not send you those 3 dreams that sent you to that church.”  Simple.

Why did He wait so long to tell me this?

Well, I never asked Him.  I kinda “knew” without asking.  I needed to know the depth of perversion and depravity the organized church system actually is “from inside.”  You might say, “I was a spy.” I was never really a part of the system because the demons in it recognized that I was a spy before I actually knew it myself.  The Lord allowed a messenger of Satan to give me 3 dreams and several confirming signs that I was supposed to be there.  I was a church person for 25 years, in ministry about two years after I  first arrived.  I was in a denomination where several churches in a region are “connected.”  So I got to know about 200 ministers, about 10 percent of them as close regional associates.

Well, I knew it was depraved from the beginning.  My first pastor was a closet homosexual who also practiced a Caribbean form of witchcraft called “obeah.” He was one of the first to die of AIDS in the early 80′s.  Most of the ministerial elders that I had to submit my ministry to were depraved.  Thieves, drug abusers, fornicators, homosexuals, child abusers, you name it, undercover and sometimes openly, they did it.

I stayed as long as I did because the religious spirit assigned to me played  a convincing game to prove that  God had me in the system to cause the system to repent.  So I was on my knees, sobbing, wailing and travailing for 25 years.  When things only got worst, commonsense should have told me, “Hey Pam, Don’t you “get it?” God is not answering your prayers in this matter. Why can’t you ‘figure it out?’ If God has not answered your prayers for repentance for 25 years, perhaps it is because “the time of repentance is over.  It just ain’t goin to happen, Gurl!!! Get up off your knees!”

I was pretty comfortable in the denomination in 2003.  I had started my own church and I kept my self separated from the religious politics, and the Bishop did not particularly care WHAT I was doing.  He treated me like I didn’t exist, and that worked well for me.  Then one day, the Lord spoke to me in a dream.  He showed me that “it was time to go.” He said “but let them PUT you out.”  Since I was not in any kind of trouble with the upper echelon, it seemed implausible that they would put me out.  Well 9 months from the dream, my name was removed from the denominations rolls.

Once out, I devoted myself to my online ministry which had begun in 2002 and to the church that I had founded in 1996. From 2004-2007, I waited for the Lord to send me to a different denomination, with my eyes on Full Gospel, non denominational groups.  It didn’t happen.  Then in 2007,  the Holy Ghost spoke again.  He compared the organized church to an inner city condemned building.  In short, He said “I’ve judged it already and I am no longer there.”

I said to myself “this COULD be the devil.” It was too incredulous for me to believe that the Holy Ghost was not in the church.  I was in a state of shock.   So I tried the spirits through the study of church history for one year.  After that year, I knew I had heard from the Holy Ghost.  He is NOT there.

Since God is not there, no point in ME being there either!”

My story is somewhat similar to Pam’s, in that when I went to the institutional churches, I, too, felt like I was a spy at times. Not that I wanted to be, or that that was even my intention.  I would start out innocently enough going to a ministry seeking a word, because I was told it was what I was supposed to do.  But the longer I went there, the more it became apparent to me that I was not supposed to stay there.  On more than one occasion, I had people in the church walk up to me after a service and point-blank ask me

‘Why are you here?  What is your purpose here? Why do you want to come to OUR church?’

At first, I was really insulted, because I didn’t know why would church people come at me like I was some sort of spy or an enemy, when sincerely and wholeheartedly, that was not the case.

It took many years before I began to realize that that WAS indeed the case.  How do I know?

Because in church after church, the LORD HIMSELF allowed me to always-ALWAYS-discover some corruption, some deception, some error,  some blatant outright sin in the lives of LEADERSHIP!

I wouldn’t search for it.  I wouldn’t be looking for it.  The revelation, the information, the evidence, would all just fall into my lap, most of the time quite by accident.  I started getting really annoyed with God for allowing this.  I asked Him “Lord, why are you allowing ME to see all this?  I did NOT want to know all of this!’

That is a question that is still being answered TO THIS DAY!

Some would say ‘Oh, you were supposed to stay there and PRAY.  Just keep praying.’

I didn’t have a dream like Pam did where God showed me the state of the church.  He just kept allowing circumstances to happen in my life that all pointed to the voice of the Lord that spoke to me back in 2007 to COME OUT OF THE CHURCH!

So I did…

God had set Pam and I in different ministries where HE EXPOSED them for what and who they really were, only to give us a CLEARER understanding and revelation of the TRUE STATE of the institutional church as a whole.

The details of Pam’s story are in her book, “Come Out of Her, God’s People.”  It is an eye opener that should be a part of your library. It is an “ah ha” kind of book.  It explains a lot about the organized church, its ministers and its members as well as “it plagues.” Also if you want to discuss this, your comments are welcome.

If you already know that the truth is being spoken, you are invited to become a member of the RESCUE online ministry. Once you register, you will either be mentored, trained or both, call 518-477-5759.
